Alice and Joe are about to spend their first Christmas together as a couple. But being part of a celebrity couple comes with its own problems, anonymity being one of their biggest challenges.
I really liked both Alice and Joe when they appeared in One Perfect Summer and although this is only a short story they are easy to like, or in my case, remember why you liked them in the first place. Joe appears to be incredibly handsome and his feelings for Alice are quite clear. Her own concerns about their relationship are explored throughout and the contrast between their relationship and that of their friends who get married at the start of the story is quite apparent.
If you've enjoyed Paige's novels before then I would definitely recommend this feel good, Christmassy short, packed with romance.
One Perfect Christmas is a novella rather than a full length book, and although it doesn't feel rushed I would have loved to have had a really meaty chunk of a festive read from Paige to sink my teeth into. She writes cracking romantic chicklit with characters that come across as being very human, full of the neuroses we have about not being enough for the one we love.
This isn't an especially festive read despite some seasonal references, so could be enjoyed at any time of year. I'd definitely recommend reading One Perfect Summer first to get to know the characters and appreciate the journey Joe and Alice have been on together.
This is short and sweet, a perfect winter treat.
After `One Perfect Summer' we were left wondering what was going to happen to Joe and Alice when the book left us wanting more and `One Perfect Christmas' does not disappoint.
`One Perfect Christmas' is a lovely festive novella that finishes their story so beautifully, it really does leave you with love in your heart and a smile on your face.
And don't worry we also get to catch up with the lovely Jessie and Emily as well as others we have met along the way.
With re caps of `One Perfect Summer' new readers will be able to follow the story easily and for avid readers who have been eagerly waiting, the flashbacks to what has happened in the year, fill the gaps perfectly.
A lovely ending to a great story `One Perfect Christmas'
