Average, I'd say. But it had its moments, I liked the characters the charming friendship and the way it manifested, eventually, into something more. I liked how East didn't have any reservations in the way he behaved- he didn't let the usual "you're too good for me" become a hindrance to their budding relationship.

Personally, I found it unbelievable that a woman as smart as Meg would not care to consider the future-East is only just learning to commit, how can she be so sure that he'll stick around? I suppose this book is trying to give the impression-forget your thoughts, your sensibilities, and just ho for it. I can't say that I agree with such a sentiment.

One Night With Her Roommate overall is a simple, quick, short read romance of roommates Meg and East who have been living together for a while and finally end up getting together after certain events bring them together.

The book is told from Meg’s point of view and in terms of the characters, I liked the fact the characters knew each other fairly well and weren’t complete strangers. You could see there was something brewing between them from the beginning but you can’t instantly predict where the book is going which is a big positive. Also, while the pace of this book is obviously fast paced being so short, it does work given the fact the characters already have a history and we do get a HEA and epilogue that wraps up the story nicely.

However, one thing that stopped me rating this book any higher was that there were a couple of errors. I don’t like being negative but in one instance, there was one where one second the author says Meg stands up too but then a few seconds later East is bending down to where she is still seated. It’s not a major issue but niggles me when reading because I’m almost instantly looking out for more things like that.

I’m a big fan of Noelle Adams’ work but if I’m honest I was a little disappointed by this book and if I hadn’t read any of her other books, I’m not sure it would have enticed me to read more by this author but I can strongly recommend some of this author’s other books such as Stripping the Billionaire and Hired Bride.

If you are looking for a short, simple romance with a HEA to pass a few hours, then I would definitely recommend you give this book a try.

A very fast-paced novella where house-mates become an item after one night; where both have been lusting over the other for the last three months and have been trying to ignore their rising feelings.

Meg is a smart women but she often lets her head rule her heart and therefore, although her body and her heart would love to get together with her flat-mate her head will not allow it.

East has no job, doesn't seem to take anything seriously and he is a slob. Meg is sure he has a girlfriend and as her has been mostly absent during the nights assumes that East is staying over.

One night together however changes everything. Meg especially gets a wake up call and see's more in East than first appeared, however as the morning comes her head interferes and things go downhill until East gets her on the right track.

Being a novella we can be assured of a happy ending and of well meaning friends who give a push in the right direction.

This is a novella length story so its a quick read perfect for inhaling in an evening without coming close to losing any sleep over it.
The story is pretty basic, the romance tame, the characters are bland, the sexiness is pretty non-existant and the sex (one scene) was lukewarm at best.
In fact bland is probably a good way to describe my overall feeling of the book. It wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It was something that was easy to read, something that didn't tax my brain or my emotions and left no greater impression on my than "meh."

The reason for the 3 stars? Well, it was cheap, it passed the time, the writing was good, I had no complaints about the formatting or editing and my main complaint was that it was a cereal bar when I really wanted chocolate.

Meg has been East’s roommate for seven months. He’s gorgeous but irritating and a slacker. His life lacks direction. He constantly flirts with her and her attraction to him bothers her. He has moments where she sees the real East, but they are few and far between. Recently, he seems to be out all the time, spending time with his girlfriend. Meg’s body and heart might want this commitment-free guy, but her mind is telling her he’s all wrong for her.

This was a great little story with good momentum. I liked the relationship that Meg and East had – a bit fiery and flirty. Meg is trying so hard to keep her mental walls up but we can see that East is not quite what he seems. He can read her pretty well and his attraction to her is quite intense. Really enjoyed it!

This was a fun, quick, read with some endearing moments and some hot love scenes!

Meg and East seemed to operate on that fine line between love and hate that many couples straddle on a daily basis. While I wasn't sure how Meg could learn to live with the irritants East threw at her on a regular basis, I was truly happy with the ending.

All in all, this was a steamy, feel-good read, and I would love to read more books in this series!
