For what it's worth I think a few good blues numbers included in the set would have spiced things up no end! Pity Buddy Guy wasn't on the guest-list....
But that's the only downside, so if you can ignore that aspect and just enjoy the musicianship then you'll be well pleased.
Universally good performances throughout from Brooker, Carrack, Clapton, Ringo, Roger Taylor etc with the added attraction of a surprisingly infectious little sets from Katie Melua and the Drifters.
A concert that annually takes place in leafy Surrey where most of the participants reside but it would grace any world stage..... pretty unique
A nice little film on the extras showing rehearsal footage and interesting interviews with band members.
Put it on.... turn it up in all its 5.1 glory and enjoy!!!
The camera work is awful. Shots change every 2 seconds making it impossible to focus on an artist or the stage. The crowd, mostly in black ties (mind boggles) appear to just want to be 'seen'. Maybe this is all you do in Surrey...????
A waste of time and effort by me to watch it. Make sure you don';t do the same. The Band .. in the lake .. throw .. all of them. Goodnite
Not only are the performances by all concerned "lack lustre" ( even Clapton struggles to inspire )
the TV coverage is appalling.
Camerawork is out of focus, there is re-framing on shot, randomly zooming in and out plus even really badly composed static shots!
The Director should be shot as he has NO affinity with the show at all.......even missing shots of musicians soloing! Inexcusable.
Avoid at all costs.
Brilliant musicians, who play too infrequently together , and a stirring collection of well-known tunes played in an engaging, party atmosphere. Pity that Ringo's singing contributions were often out of tune, but that's Ringo when not drumming !
A very worthwhile, enjoyable buy.

Very good all absolute pros you cannot remain in the music industry collectively for all their years as they have done without real talent.
Respectfully they are unique.
I found and bought this by accident. I'm glad I did. It's great concert and I watch it quite a lot when I want a musical interlude.Published on 25 July 2014 by Malcolm
The whole package, quality, songs etc is all OK but the 'thrown together' nature of the concert is apparent. This isn't so much a bad thing but is a reflection of the concert. Read morePublished on 31 Oct. 2013 by Geoff Faro
As an Eric Clapton fan I really enjoyed most of the tracks but could have done without the Drifters. Read morePublished on 19 Jan. 2013 by Peter Taylor
