About the Author

Caroline Linden was born a reader, not a writer. She earned a math degree from Harvard University and wrote computer software before turning to writing fiction. Twelve years, sixteen books, three Red Sox championships, and one dog later, she has never been happier with her decision. Her books have won the NEC Reader's Choice Beanpot Award, the Daphne du Maurier Award, the NJRW Golden Leaf Award, and RWA's RITA® Award. Since she never won any prizes in math, she takes this as a sign that her decision was also a smart one.

Caroline Linden bring a light touch to her Regency novels, this one was the first of a trilogy but I read the second first not realising this, fortunately it didn't detract from the whole, just made me keen to read them all. There is an abundance of authors writing Regency novels but Ms Linden is one of my favourites, She draws you in from the first page and leaves you wanting to know more when you reach the end, the characters are beautifully conceived and allows the reader to become involved on a personal level. I loved all three novels, they are well paced, racy and fun. I would of course recommend this novel but books are a personal choice, if dear reader you enjoy it as much as I, then you will be watching for her other novels. Enjoy.

I loved this story. I found the lead characters totally believable and can't wait to read more about the supporting cast.
