The most comprehensive book for the inquisitive (why is that road so called, why is there a bend in that street, how did this part of London get it's name) person with an hour so spare in the world city we call London.
In the fast paced world of 24 hour news - take a break and walk the streets of London with the centuries of knowledge locked up in this book. If you are tired of London - you are tired of Life ...Be aware and be bewitched.
-A brilliantly written book. The original from 1989 (never reprinted) changes hands for quite a lot of money and this updated version is very very much appreciated.
-I have also downloaded the Kindle edition to make it easier to refer to on the move.
-Thank-you Colonel Murphy.
Unaccountably it was never reprinted or went to a second edition and as far as I have been able to ascertain, was never remaindered. If you happen to own a copy, you are indeed fortunate. If you get the chance to obtain one, go for it, you won't regret it.
