5.0 out of 5 stars A Must have acoustic version 18 Nov. 2005
By Eddie - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
David Gray's first single off his new album "Life in Slow Motion",is great as it appears on the album. But for fans who are having a harder time adjusting to his "Dylan Gone Electric" sound, this is the version for you.

"The One I Love", acoustic version, gives you vintage Gray.A man and his guitar, pouring out his emotions, and giving the die- hards a glimpse of what could have been had he stayed the course.

The other 2 tracks are worthy B-sides,but the title track is the definite stand out here.

I personally love the new album, and recommend it to all David Gray fans, new and old.But i think this single will help make the hold-outs transition a little smoother.Stop fighting it and buy this single.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have! 19 Feb. 2007
By Michael W. Jackson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
David Gray has reached a new level of excellence with his album "Life in Slow Motion" and the single "The One I Love" is a fine example of that. It is a fun, light hearted track yet full of his typical passion. It could easily fit on any of his previous albums and is the proper choice for a single. The bonus track "Going in Blind" is worth the cost of the CD alone. It's the reason I bought it. It's a fine addition to his catalog and could have been easily found on "Life in Slow Motion" due to the new level of maturity his work has taken on. It is listed as (Piano & Strings) as though there is some other version that has more to it. I have yet to find it if it exists. I will say, however, that there is nothing missing from this track so the listener won't feel cheated only thankful for the chance to enjoy it. If only they gave us a few more tracks as a bonus.
