HASH(0x8e3bf57c) out of 5 stars A BEAUTIFUL Advent devotional book 21 Sept. 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I absolutely love Terri's heart and passion for encouraging others to whole-heartedly pursue the Lord. Not just trite fluff, her devotional has us looking at some marvelous passages of scripture and meditating on our own lives, pushing us to go into the depths of the presence of the Lord.

Each devotional shares a scripture passage and then she shares a story. Her story may be from her own life (with transparency and humility) or a story exploring the scripture or a story about life. Each one encourages us to look with eyes of hope, joy and expectation for what God is doing in the story of our lives. But she doesn't leave it there. She asks probing, thought-provoking and sometimes challenging questions to help us, the reader, take the spiritual principles in the stories and make them real in our own lives.

This is the whole package for the holidays! Terri gives recipes (yummy cinnamon rolls for one) and gift ideas and traditions her family uses to help the reader establish some wonderful family traditions that will create great memories for generations as well as keep the heart of holiday focused on Jesus.

I absolutely recommend this lovely book...and yes, I did get a free digital copy to review, but I loved it so much I am including a physical copy of it in my blog giveaway!
HASH(0x8e003df8) out of 5 stars Christ in Christmas instead of sales, shopping and Santa 13 Dec. 2013
By S. Scotti - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
My wife and I are using this as our Advent devotional this year. We love it! Great Scriptures to correspond with each day's writing, and good, practical thoughts and advice for day-to-day Christian living, while keeping Christ at the center of it all. Along the way I've heard my wife say, "Ooh, I'm going to have to try that!" several times as she's come across the recipes that are included.
If you're looking for a terrific way to either bring Christ back into Christmas, or make sure your focus is on him instead of on sales, shopping, and Santa, then I highly recommend this book.
HASH(0x8dffa918) out of 5 stars Encouragement for the Christmas season. 24 Sept. 2013
By Cammie R. Cater - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
One Clear, Still Night has it all. Devotions for the entire month of December, not just up to Christmas Day. Scripture is given, then a short story or thought from Terri's personal experience. Terri always encourages, never discourages. I feel refreshed and uplifted not burdened down after reading the daily devotions. I especially like the recipes dispersed throughout the pages. I would recommend this book to any one looking for a devotional that brings them back to the true reasons for the holiday season. Thank you Terri for the outpouring of love and insight you put into this book.
HASH(0x8dfda9fc) out of 5 stars Great Family Devotional 8 Dec. 2013
By mama6 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
We are several days into this devotional as a family. Each night we sit with our 6 children and read the day's devotion. I like that they are short and to a point, some with discussion questions. It has spurred some good conversation with our children and we're really enjoying this "coming together" time. Merry Christmas to all!
HASH(0x8e367168) out of 5 stars Keeping it Real! 12 Dec. 2013
By Rebecca L Mintz - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
In this devotional book, Terri shares "real people" stories with which I can identify. Each daily entry is 1-2 pages long and includes an area where you can write your thoughts. The book is helping to keep my mind centered on the real reason for celebrating Christmas, so I can keep all the "busy-ness" in perspective.
