As a general use/walkabout/holiday lens this 14-150mm is my favourite. It's the same diameter as, and only slightly longer than, the Panasonic 14-45mm. It's not much heavier that that lens either. While the price isn't especially low, it can be bought for considerably less than the similar Panasonic 14-140mm which is very bulky and heavy in comparison, and quite unwieldy on any of the non-gripped m43 cameras. To be fair to the Panasonic, their lens does have built-in image stabilisation which this Olympus doesn't.

I use it on an E-P3 and the balance feels surprisingly good - for a 10x zoom that's pretty impressive. The build is solid - actually much better than the Olympus kit lenses and their 45mm prime. It has a metal mount and the zoom action is precise. There is no zoom creep either. Focusing is fast and accurate on anything but very poorly lit scenes. Sharpness is good for the price/features. Bokeh, when you can get it, is pleasing too.

Sadly Olympus don't supply a hood as standard but it's available - either a genuine one or a copy. That's about the only gripe.

OK, 14-150 is a large zoom range for a single lens but so far I've found this lens to be a solid performer across the range. It is fairly light and is an ideal lens when I am travelling and want to cover all bases with as little kit as possible. Well balanced on an OM-D; not so well balanced but still very functional on an Pen EP-1.

This is a superb lens for day to day use. I use it on my Panasonic GX7 and GM1 and for a lens with such a large zoom range it gives extremely good results. In its widest setting it is as you see in the image but zoomed to 150mm (300mm 35mm) it is roughly double the length.

I have not found any real issues with stabilization and even zoomed in on very close objects (pseudo macro) I have been able to obtain some good results..

The other benefit for me is that this lens seems to perfectly balance my GX7 body making it very easy to handle and maneuver without feeling either lens or body heavy. I bought mine from a dealer who had taken it out of a kit, it was brand new but without a box but registered fine on the Olympus warranty page. I paid £319 which was less than some used versions of this lens I have seen.

I bought my lens hood for £7 from eBay, took 10 days to come from China but fits perfectly.

This is a very useful all-purpose lens. Wide-open apertures are soft and for clarity you need to be around f8. If you are using an EM5 or EMI then the extreme low-light (light gathering) capabilities of these cameras will mean you are still working at good speeds even if you close the aperture up on dull days. I am getting good definition from my lens, my own A3 prints are very sharp. Absolutely no need to fear bad results if considering buying this lens.

A very interesting option when you want to carry only one lens. The lens performance is really very good in all the zoom range.

Am totally over the moon with this wonderful lens purchase. Fits very well on the pen epm2 and can highly recommend to others.

Picture quality, for me, is great! There is sharpness across the whole range. I have taken photos of people's facial expressions from a distance of approx. 150m, and the clarity has been extremely good to excellent, all depending on the lighting conditions. I am also very satisfied/happy with all the macro and out of focus shots that I have taken since receiving this little gem.

The zoom action and fine-tuning with the focus ring, all provide a pleasant action without stiffness during operation.

The lens and camera are a joy to use, hold and transport around, and with the obvious bonus of having the one lens to cover many scenarios, well you just cannot go wrong with this one.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this lens to other Olympus or Panasonic camera owners. So go purchase and enjoy...
