Got this for my mum aged 63 who was struggling with her hips and weight. She loves it, not too difficult and excercises are easy to do.

My Parents who are both 80 enjoyed this dvd very much, found the instructions easy to follow and the music also appealed to them. They use it regularly and I anticipate the request to find them another one because they are wearing this one out.

Having tried local keep fit classes and found they were too fast and the wrong type of movement, I then found this DVD. It is just what I need. Even though I am only in my early 60's I have arthritis in most joints and have had both hips replaced so although I try to be active, I am some what limited in what I can do. This DVD is helping me to build up my fitness at a pace that suits me. As it is divided into three sections you can start by just doing the first part until you feel ready to move on to the next more active parts. I am never going to get back to the hillwalking and 15 mile walks, but hopefully this excercise DVD will help me to a fittness level that makes daily life easier.

HASH(0x9bb11a74) out of 5 stars Liked the exercises, but . . . 20 July 2011
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
I really liked the exercises in this video. There are three different aerobic sections, and you can do one, two, or all three. The three women also demonstrate three different levels of intensity. I feel like I've had a good workout at the top level - I'm 71.

HOWEVER - with the possible exception of Richard Simons, I believe Sue Grant is the most irritating exercise leader I've encountered - and I've encountered a lot, because I have a fairly large collection of exercise DVDs. She is unrelentingly perky, and her insistance on telling us over and over how GOOD it feels and how much FUN we're having is really annoying. At one point she says, "I hope you're having a great time. We sure are!!" I exercise because I know it does me good, not because I enjoy it. (How many of us, if we could find a pill that would give us exactly the same benefit as an hour's exercise, would opt for the exercise?)

I would give this DVD a 5 based on the exercises alone. Based on Ms. Grant's saccherine delivery I'd give it a 1 - and I'd give it a 1 only because that's the lowest rating available. I figure they average out to a 3. After I've done the DVD a few more times I'm going to try muting it and see if I can just follow what they do without the audio.

HASH(0x9bb11ac8) out of 5 stars Older & Wiser Workout for Seniors and Active Older Adults 3 Jan. 2014
By D. L. Norwood - Published on Amazon.com

I am 55 years old & wanted a low impact aerobic exercise with no bouncing & no quick turns that get my feet all tangled up & no worries that I might step wrong & injure a knee or throw my back out. I only rated this DVD on the exercise portion as I have some unique health problems so I do not do the strength training or the stretches. Ms. Grant does exercise every muscle with the strength training & stretches which are done from an alternating sitting & standing position. She appears to be knowledgable in all areas of exercise. Ms. Grant does the warm up which gives a careful demonstration on all the steps to be done during the aerobic portion of video. There are 3 women who demonstrate mild, moderate, & advanced moves throughout the video. The 23 minutes of aerobics are divided into three segments. The new steps are slowly introduced in the 1st & 2nd segments with all steps combined in the 3rd segment. She gives cues with plenty of notice. "If I can Que it, you can do it," states Ms. Grant. She points out that you make wise choices & determine your level of exertion. This video is for beginners. Just as the intensity builds to a faster pace & fun level, the segment is over. It is gentle on the joints. I think it is fun. You can go to youtube for a preview of this video. I do not like her other video entitled, Older & Much Wiser because I question the safety of the exercises. If this DVD is too slow, I highly recommend Angie Miller's Absolute Beginners Cardio & Strength Training. It is indeed important to get the right video for you as exercise is vital to any age person, but especially so for the seniors. I hope that I look as good as Ellie, who is in her late 70's, & has a beautiful well kept body. I want to stay mentally fit as well. I am glad that I bought this DVD.

HASH(0x9ce0745c) out of 5 stars great dvd 24 Feb. 2013

This is a great fun workout. I find it has strenghten muscle, toned and gives a good cardio workout. Nothing in it is too strenuous. It goes at a nice pace. It is also good for coordination and balance. I was never a person to follow a dvd exercise program. But this dvd changed that. I follow the first section the dvd 4-5 times a week. The other two sections, I do at least two of the 4-5 times. After about a month I could see the difference in my strength and the way I felt. I would recommend this dvd to everyone. Sue Grant is a very upbeat person and she is a delight to listen to and follow.

HASH(0x9c749fb4) out of 5 stars Good workout 13 Jun. 2012
By jasli15 - Published on Amazon.com

Let me start by saying I just did the entire workout and it felt good. I hate exercise and am very out of shape. I realized the reason I hate working out is because I usually try to do an exercise routine that is too hard and I get discouraged. I had no problem keeping up with this dvd. I have a feeling it will be too easy for me soon:) Great dvd to start an exercise program with.

I have had both knees replaced and this is perfect for me. It definitely will give you the work out and a chance to get started moving again.
