I will admit I like ALL of the wonder stuffs albums, sure some are superior to others but Miles and co are good song writers and even an off period is better than many artists manage in their entire career. Escape from rubbish island and suspended by stars had their moments even if they didn't hit the heights of the earlier albums. Oh no is being hailed as a return to formand a great comeback... is it? Not far off if I'm honest. The changes in line up from the last albums has helped, especially former PWEI drummer Fuzz who seems a perfect fit.
Musically it has more energy than the previous two, perhaps three albums combined. the band are clearly revitalized. Lyrically i have yet to fully asses but some songs certainly have the same lyrical bite as miles has always had. More to come.

Having been a Stuffies fan in my doc martin wearing, Uni days, I wondered whether anything could top the soundtrack to my misspent youth. I needn't have worried. Miles Hunt is clearly still in posession of his superior song writing faculties, and I am back to dancing, although it's in my middle-aged kitchen, rather than the Student Union!

Return to form. Great album. Jesus will Eat Stuff have done it again. Sounds just llike the old stuff. Erica and Miles make this album, which is a good job as they're the only original band memebers left. Still sadly miss Malcolm Trews but the other members made up from Jesus Jones and Pop Will Eat Itself (hence the name I hilariously used above) hold up their own. They were fantastic live too. Glad they still do gigs. Hadn't realised this was a double album when I bought it so I felt like I had ten bonus tracks. Perhaps a bit too pricey in this digital age but worth seeking out for perhaps a bit cheaper.

Another outstanding album from The Wonder Stuff! The bonus disc is great too (a kinda tribute to some bands from the midlands that don't get the recognition they deserve) Nice touch! Seen the boys live just after the album came out and the songs they played from this made me go out and buy the CD.

You've probably heard of The Wonder Stuff. Thats why you've come here, right? Well, this new album is pure thoroughbred Wonder Stuff. silly, catchy, serious & wonderful. well worth a purchase. And that's before we even get to the Bonus tracks! Talking of which, every bonus track is a corker. from Dodgys in a room, to the UB40 cover 1 in 10. Superb stuff!

I have loved the wonder stuff since I first heard don't let me down gently. I have never been disappointed in anything they have done and this album doesn't disappoint either. My favourite will always be Hup but this is just as good.

I love the Wonder Stuff. I grew up with 8 Legged Groove Machine, Hup, Never Loved Elvis etc. They packed it in, then they came back with Escape From Rubbish Island and Suspended by Stars. The new Stuff had its moments. I still love a Stuffies gig, they beat the socks off anyone else in terms of putting on a crowd-pleasing bit of Indie thrash. I never miss them when they play live, but I am surprised when people say this album is "a return to form". It's Wonder Stuff by rote. There's no stand out song, there's no soul. It's pretty much the music that was left by those who missed the boat from Rubbish Island. There comes a point when an srtist has nothing left to say. Much as I adore Miles Hunt, and I do, that time came at least a decade ago.
