(Introduction)
The Xbox 360 controller is exceptional, it requires double A batteries. It comes in white or black, not a wide variety of colours but at least you have a choice between two. Once turned on a green LED light starts flashing. If the controller runs out of power just replace the batteries, very simple.
(Setting up)
To set up the Xbox 360 Controller all you need to do is first power the controller on; to do that hold down the Xbox button and then a green flashing LED light should appear. You also should turn on the Xbox 360. At the top of the Xbox 360 Controller, there should be a small clickable button, press that then the controller and the Xbox should be flashing but the lights should be flashing in a circle. Then your Xbox controller and your Xbox 360 Console should be connected. I do know that you can use the controller for PC MAC, as I tried to do so myself. However, I was using a MAC and installed the software then tried to use it sadly it didn’t work, pity. By the way, you do have to use a wired controller or use the wireless receiver for windows, not for MAC. I will rate the setting up a 7/10, very easy on the Xbox 360. Personally, hard to setup on PC.
(Product design)
The product design is admirable, here are all the components on the Xbox 360 Controller:
-A button
-B button
-Y button
-X button
-The Xbox button
-The D pad
-The analog sticks
-The Left bumper
-The right bumper
- The left trigger
-The right trigger
-The connection button
-The start button
-The back button.
The A, B, Y and X button, unfortunately, it has no satisfying click. More like a soft and silent button. Personally, I like the satisfying click that buttons have to offer- like the connection button. The click is far more superior than most buttons on the Xbox 360 Controller. The D pad feels loose and has a soft click like the A, B, Y and X button, so isn’t noisy and isn’t satisfying, unfortunately. The analog sticks feel rubbery but I quite like the feeling, it has a nice texture. When you click the analog sticks it is loud and satisfying, it has a good strong click suitable for my standards. The left and right bumper have a strong click; like clicking the analog sticks, it is satisfactory to my standards. The left and right trigger flick loudly when pressed down and let go of. The start, back and Xbox button all feel soft, like most of the Xbox 360 controller for once though it is a nice change to feel something soft rather than something clickable and strong. The start and back button are rather plain and have nothing to offer, while the Xbox button has a green LED button that looks nice and peaceful. I like how it has a nice light. I rate the product design a 6/10. Personally, the soft clickable buttons aren’t my preference but that’s just me.
(The Build quality)
The build quality of this product is passible, the casing for the controller strong. Bearing in mind that it is an old controller, so Microsoft probably didn’t have as strong materials as they do now. I have dropped it a couple but after a few drops, the scratching was not too severe. While I was playing FIFA I did get a little bit annoyed and threw the controller at a wall, twice actually. The first time it didn’t break however it did on the second throw, well kind of. Parts of it came off but still usable, so actually impressive! I will rate the build quality an 8/10, really good, surprisingly.
(The Conclusion)
In conclusion, this product is a robust, strong controller it definitely can survive being thrown at a wall twice; when raged in FIFA. The components of the controller have a soft silent click, so when gaming the sounds from the controller don’t distract you. This controller in 2017 is still relevant and is still a number #1 best seller on amazon (in joysticks.)! It just goes to show how many people play Xbox 360 or use this controller for their PC. The setting up on the controller is quick and easy, however, I did struggle setting up on PC. Personally, I believe this product is an 9/10, still awesome! The only bad thing is the price and that’s it! I appreciate you reading my review!

Unfortunately the nice finish doesn't extend to the back of the controller which is just a plain matte black. I've also found that the chrome effect is prone to scratches from just being inside a backpack and general transportation. Also just a side note, there are no black highlights on the sides, it is all one colour and the Amazon images of it are a little misleading. The purple and silver images give a good idea of the finish as well as hopefully my included photo.
Pros
+ More individual look but with Microsoft build quality
+ Thumb sticks don't deteriorate like the old ones did
Cons
- Surface prone to scratches
- d-pad feature is a bit gimmicky and offers no improvements over the standard one
If you need a new controller, pick up one of these if you want to pay a little extra to look a bit different.

Pay a premium for a different colour but very little else

I was first drawn to this controller as it would stand out as being different to standard controllers, but offered the original high quality finish of the original Microsoft brand ones. And it's not just the finish that makes this controller stand out from the standard crowd. The thumbsticks don't have the dimples that the originals did but still have a soft feel, and unlike the standard controller they don't deteriorate over time. The d-pad also has an interesting twisting feature where it can either behave like the standard one in a circular shape, or just the cross part can stay up. Unfortunately in both settings the d-pad is still very mushy and approximate. Still, spinning it provides some entertainment during loading screens.By Dezdog on 8 January 2016
