Product Description

The official story behind European football s premier competition. Relive the drama, excitement and incredible action that helped make EURO 2012 one of the most unforgettable tournaments in the history of football. From the opening group game to the final, the 31 matches staged in Poland and Ukraine produced some unbelievable moments. Who can forget Jakub Blaszczykowski s thunderous shot that drew hosts Poland level with Russia, the poise of Danny Welbeck as he flicked in Theo Walcott s cross against Sweden to seal a nail-biting victory, Zlatan Ibrahimovic s wonder-volley for Sweden, or the emergence of Cristiano Ronaldo to fire Portugal into the quarter finals? The knock out stages of EURO 2012 produced some of the highest quality football ever seen. From Pirlo s Panenka penalty against England, to Super Mario s bullet that ended Germany s hopes, and Spain s stunning performance in the final to seal their place as one of the greatest sides in football history, football fans across the world were left enthralled by the abundance of talent and skill on show as some of the best players in the world put on a sensational exhibition of the beautiful game at its very best.

This is surprisingly good. Commentary, although still poor, is much better than the 2008 version, with linking introductions again by Peter Brackley. For some matches highlights are restricted to little more than the goals, but there are longer edits for the later rounds. Production quality is excellent. Don't be fooled by the claimed 4-hour duration - this includes a section on the second disc 'all the goals', which probably lasts 60-90 minutes, and doesn't add anything apart from far, far too many replays, as the goals are already shown as part of the highlights.

This is an excellent record of the Euros, the two disc format is a great idea. The commentary has a `real` feel to it, with the original crowd noise, always a good thing. I would recommend this to any serious collector of Tournament dvds. Picture quality is very good too.

I always purchase reviews of the Euros & the World Cup. This is an improvement on previous years in that it is a two disc set,one being the group stages & the other being the knock out stages. One minor criticism, the second disc is labelled as being 'All The Goals', when in actual fact, that is an add-on at the end. All in all though, very enjoyable & good value for money.

Goals, goals, goals and highlights. All done in proper order. What more does a footy fan want for 3 hours apart from this DVD and a few beers to compliment it. Worth every penny.

Delighted with speed of delivery. Had extended highlights from all thirty one games of the tournament, as well as a few bonus features, such as best goals of the tournament.
