I come from an opposite background than the author since when looking for a job, I don't pay much attention to the brand, security and money part and I am more skewed to the 'content' of what I will do plus I have always considered corporates highly dysfunctional. I should have hated this book! Yet I found the right mix of practical useful advice and entertaining stories, I even considered to join a corporate while I was reading! The book is 'soft' in some chapters, but others are really good to read; the section on self-awareness, the one on "perception is reality" or how to get consensus are the best. The book might fall a bit short for the higher ranks, while BAs and managers will love it, directors/VPs/CEOs should look for something more.
I strongly recommend to read it to anyone working in a big corporation, but also to who wants to improve the way they relate to their work environment in general - #ownyourlife
