Once I took the book out of its sleeve , I was rather surprised by the content itself. It starts off with the text "I draw a hot sorrow bath..." and carries on in the same vein. Everyday actions accompanied by a word description of misery or sorrow in plain black ink. Above the text are pictures also in black ink, smudged, plain and not difficult to paint. The type of painting that you think that you could do but then again you hadn't thought of doing so. Therefore not a big fan of the artwork although it did remind me of the Chinese paintings that are done in black ink.
I'm not sure whether the author is really sad or whether he is poking fun at the recent media assumptions of his perceived sadness. I guess it must be a bit of both. You couldn't write such melancholy phrases without feeling some of those emotions.
In conclusion I would say buy the book if you a big fan of Keanu Reeves as it is an expensive book. I was impressed by the author's humouristic tortured soul way of writing. And although I didn't think highly of the artwork they did compliment the writing. The book has a slight intimate feel to it. The question I pose is, does the author really wear "silk pajamas" and wear "face cream"???

Mr Reeves was always very clear that this project was something that came out of an inside-gag with his friends... [...] ...a wry take not only on the media's obsession with him being a tad depressed but also on any maudlin, self-obsessed art/poetry, which I found to be incredibly well produced and lots of fun.
Yes, it has only a handful of pages, and no, I wouldn't pay huge money for it, but as a conversation piece on the shelf it's brilliant, and it is a pleasure to leaf through occasionally. Make sure you get the joke though.
As he put it: "It's only personal in the sense of looking out and regarding my sense of humour. I don't usually take baths in my despair room with a misery candle burning"
I can say that the item arrived exceptionally promptly and in pristine condition.
Actually the site provided the cheapest copy of the book (did think the item is expensive but all credit to the seller being the least expensive)
