No, it can't possibly beat Mellon collie and the infinite sadness, but to me that was the best album ever made. It is certainly better than Zeitgeist. I have heard Oceania 5 times or so, and I really like it. For me it is about the same level as Machina (which I love) So ye it's a really good album.
It seems to really split the fans. I am on the side that thought it sucked and wished I'd never bought it!
All I can say is that I loved Gish to Adore, and Machina was OK, Zeigeist was pretty poor. If you're on the same wave length as me with the old albums maybe that means you'll think the same as me over this one. If you loved Machina, like the last poster, maybe you'll really like it. It's no exact science, but it might give you a steer.
