"Highly illustrated in color, this is a valuable text to medical students, residents in gynecology and obstetrics, and nurses." ( Pediatric Endocrinology Reviews, March 2010)
From the Back Cover
Obstetrics and Gynecology at a Glance is designed to be a concise, readily accessible guide and revision aid for undergraduate medical students. Following the now familiar, easy–to–use double–page spread format, each topic is presented with key facts accompanied by clear and informative line diagrams illustrating the essential points.
This new book is targeted specifically at the clinical years of medical study. To allow quick reference, it has been divided into four sections: Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology, and Obstetrics. It therefore provides a comprehensive summary of everything the student needs to know to get through their clinical rotation.
Obstetrics and Gynecology at a Glance is ideally suited to the available reading time and budget of all medical students and junior doctors. It can be used either as primary or supplementary reading in support of a lecture course or as a revision aid at exam time. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.See all Product description
Top customer reviews
Possibly the only weakness is that the author is American and some of the terms are therefore americanized.
To learn O and G properly you have to read as much as possible and combine with solid clinical experiece. I therefore suggest combing this book with Ten teachers, OHCS, an mcq book and an OSCE format book.
Bought it for my FINAL med exam....so far I don't have any complaints!
And yea the delivery was great. The book was in a mint condition :) Thank you Amazon for making life easier!
Nice simple and clear diagrams to support text.
Ties anatomy and physiology extremely well to support clinical scenarios.
The use of subtitles is great; helps to break down the text into manageable pieces.
I would say this book includes everything a medical student needs to know about Obs and Gynae!
