Bake, brown and roast with confidence with OXO’s Oven Thermometer. A frosted glass back panel allows the light in the back of your oven to shine through the Thermometer, illuminating the large numbers and making them easy to read. The easy-to-use clip lets you hang the Thermometer from any oven rack or stand it on top of the rack. In either position, the clip fits securely on the oven rack to prevent the Thermometer from falling when food is moved in or out of the oven. Calibrated for accuracy, our Oven Thermometer features Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature scales for increased convenience.

I'd include a diagram but there's already a perfectly good explanation and accompanying pictures on the packaging !!
If you fit it correctly it sits, or hangs, perfectly well in the oven.
Highly recommended product - enjoy !
Thermometer is easy to read and fits my oven shelf perfectly. It can be attached on top of the shelf or hanging from it. When set in place it is well fixed and I didn't have problems getting things out or into the oven.
Thermometer takes a few minutes to record a change in temperature, but nothing unusual here.
The thermometer is quite large and it may impede access to the cake tin etc if retained permanently in situ. If constantly to be removed and refitted, it could become an annoyance. The silicon ring may be intended to help reduce the risk of burns from coming into accidental contact with hot metal, but the silicon itself will also be hot and a burn could follow. It does cool more quickly than metal so it may be possible to handle the thermometer slightly sooner.
An alternative is to use the foot as a prop and to angle the thermometer on a shelf, using the silicon ring around its edge for support. With a few adjustments in a cool oven, it should be possible to find a viable angle and position quite quickly. However, having the silicon ring in permanent (or semi-permanent, if removed when non-essential) contact with a hot shelf may not be what its designers or manufacturers intended and the silicon may char or burn.Read more ›
It wont stand up, when hanging it drops off the shelf. If you can get it to stay hung the dial flops downwards so it is unreadable and you have to take it out the oven to read (or lay on your kitchen floor and hold it up with and ovenglove), therefore the needle drops and temp is not accurate. If I could I would give negative stars and return it.

The bracket is so loose that the thermometer hangs face down and cannot be read, which does not actually matter because the temperature reading is way off! Read morePublished 7 months ago by Amazon Customer
