I've always used plastic screen protectors in the past but after getting my shiny new OnePlus 3, I thought it deserved a glass protector! The official Oneplus 3 screen protector was out of stock at the time so after browsing Amazon, I came across the Orzly Pro-Fit Tempered glass screen protector. I've seen glass protectors on other people's phones and because they aren't flexible, and phone screens are now curved on the edges, they don't go all the way to the edges and it just ruins the look of the display..
This one however has a curved edge and goes all the way to the edge of the phone and the black borders on it go right over the phones actual bezel, making it look like it doesn't have a protector on at all. Awesome!
However to achieve this curved look, they've had to put this dot pattern on the screen, apparently to stop the protector sticking to the screen and creating a rainbow effect. But this hasn't quite worked as I still get the rainbow effect that makes it look like there's an oil spill on the screen... Most of the time the dot pattern isn't really noticeable but, In sunlight, it's quite obvious and can be quite annoying. Also the cut outs don't quite line up properly, no matter how hard you try. Which can be a bit annoying if you have OCD. The camera hole just can't line up perfectly without the cutout for the finger print sensor being misaligned. But my biggest gripe with this is that there is only adhesive backing on the black borders, which I believe had been done so the display part of the protector doesn't stick to the screen. But it isn't adhesive enough. And the protector constantly moves when in my pocket, so much so that I have to keep taking it off and putting it on again, which has pretty much ruined it's adhesive properties and now barely sticks at all.
Now if this was a plastic protector that I bought as a set of three for like £5 then I wouldn't be bothered about binning it and putting another on. But paying £10 for a glass protector, I was hoping it would've lasted longer. I've used it for a week and it is now only really good for the bin.
