I am happy with it, seems like good quality build. Not had any issues with the power supply over the last fortnight of use. fairly quiet. The fan stays on for 30s after powerdown to cool it down.
The red glow is not too bright, looks nice.
The modular systems works fine, am actually using mainly older power cables from a previous OCZ supply I had so not used the new 'flat' cables it came with - but they look nice and there are plenty supplied in a handy zipped bag.
Not much else to say about a PSU really ;-)
The red glowing light is pretty much unnoticeable in my case but would be in a windowed case but then that's the point. What I really like is that when you power off the fan continues to run for about a minute or less pulling out residual heat and I think pulling remaining current off the board and Psu even if you unplug it from the wall. This is the only time I hear the PSU fan when everything else is off and its incredibly quiet. I used to have a Gaming Shuttle and that was so noisy in comparison even though it was supposed to be a near silent PSU. For the price its pretty cool as well some of the Corsair PSU's at this power range and standard are well into the £100 + mark. The one thing I have noticed about reviews of this is the reliability is really good as well.
Quick update I am now running two 7870 AMDH graphic cards in crossfire which are using a total of 4 power cables direct to the cards and the PSU is handling it brilliantly. In addition 7 big fans including the CPU ones 4 hard drives 1 SSD 1 DVD drive 1 bay mounted fan controller, on an Asrock Extreme 6 with an ivy bridge over clocked to 4.4 ghz . No power problems and no heat problems and the PSU continues to be super quiet. I would highly recomend this for value, efficiency and build quality plus it's 5 year warranty.
To all who don't understand "Modular PSU" Modular just meaning, comes with wires separate
all, neatly packed in their own Luxuary Case, Its easier to build a Tidy PC with a Modular Flat wires;
with the major advantage of easy air flow, over and across the Flat wires, keeping thing's cool.
I have owned the Corsair HX-750 series Power supplies before, despite this model being £50 cheaper using
Amazon, and not a third Party seller, I bagged another one of these today because they are such good value;
at a giveaway price of only £78 you Could not even get a Corsair TX-M for this type of money.
Ive had read tonnes of reviews and done my Homework, and this Model is full of Japanese Capacitors.
Mainly Japanese design and architecture, but manufactured in China, "for cheap labour" so, we would not be
able to get for this price anywhere, only for the hardworking Chinese Labour 60-80hours per week, working conditions.
This power supply is virtually silent, and it is very highly respected by professionals because it is an A+ Plus PSU.
Its the Ticket; especially if you want a cheaper Power Supply, but also want a High quality unit, to last at least 5 years +"
or more, Its Got the Brand Name too.. "Fatal1ty Series High-Performance 750w" Like once you buy, you are future Proofed.
SLI recommended will handle 2x GTX-760's with ease In Sli Mode. You really will not need more power than that, together
with (Boost 2.0/3.0)... or else a Single GTX-770 will Max any Game, read the reviews. no need for a Titan, Even tho, it is
a recommended beast of a GPU. Thanks for reading - Take Care, David. Hope my review was helpful. - Cheers!
PS. Even tho, this PSU is recommended 750w it will push 800 watts easy.!
It even has the new 8-pin PCI-express connector! 8-pin or 4-pin board connector! 20/24 pin ATX power connector. 6-pin PCI-express. Also has plenty of the standard connectors with lots of satas and molex also includes a floppy power on one of its molex cables.
Very quiet running also as makes less noise then all my good quality fans in my case, and thats really saying something about how quiet its is! Think its helps being a large fan in the psu running at lower rpm. The light from the psu fan is a real nice glow and subtle on the eye.
Ordered this on wednesday morning and came rapidly with Home Delivery Network on Friday morning about 9am! HDN seems to get a lot of bad reviews online but they did a great job at delivering it and the delivery didnt cost me another penny on free delivery from Amazon. The tracking number provided by Amazon was a great help. Shown when it got to the nearest sorting depot the night before and then got to my area depot at 6am, then said loaded onto van. Cant fault the service.
Seems a very popular psu also probably because people know its quality at a cheaper price then lets say a Corsair psu. Note amazon had 4 in stock 3 days ago when I bought it and rapidly they have sold out!
Great how it also comes with OCZ 3 year swap warranty!
