Well it’s time for another Naked Music release. Stylish nude gracing the cover? Check. Fathoms-deep and sexy house tunes? Ditto. Skilled San Francisco DJ keeping the quality high? Yup. Just when you thought this label couldn’t top themselves in 2000 they manage to follow up Miguel ‘Migs’ graceful Nude Dimensions: PetalPusher Sessions with a set that burns even hotter.
Most of the star producers that made Volume 1 such a jewel are back: the aforementioned Miguel ‘Migs,’ AtJazz, Blue Six (who successfully follow-up their smash “Music & Wine”) and a handful of licensed others. In fact, Aviles crafts a set smoother and deeper than the first, choosing predominantly dub takes and less vocal-reliant songs. Highlights abound but maintain the mellow vibe by not trumpeting their hooks. Bougie Soliterre with “Superficial” certainly is a soft and satisfying start, while Cooly’s Hot Box “Could You Love Me?” adds a dash of energy near the end.
Whatever is causing such luxuriant sets in San Fran needs to be shipped and sent east; between this series and the Sessions releases by the OM Label, you’ll be hard-pressed to name some smoother house mixes in 2000. As for this album, turn down the lights and slip away.

Nude Dimensions Vol 2. is a follow up to the first CD mixed by Miguel Migs. This mix includes some of the best deep house tracks to have come out last year and starts off beautifully with Bougie Soliterre and Superficial. It then glides into one of Naked music's best tracks from last year, 'Pure' by Blue 6. Which is beautiful and moving at the same time. But it is after Blue 6 that the mix starts to get a bit boring and it is until Sirus's 'Big Ben' that the mix starts to pick itself up again. Especially when MJ Cole's 'Sincere' comes in and lifts the spirits of everyone. It finally ends on Lisa Shaw and 'Always' which is another of Naked Music's best tracks of last year. By it if you want to find out a bit more about Naked Music (and so you should!). But my best bets is to get Miguel Migs Nude Dimensions vol.1 to hear the true sound of Naked Music and there domination of quality house music that everyone should hear and know about.

A very seductive album. I've played this a zillion times already, and in company its always met with smiles. Track 10: Be Sincere, is probably the best known on this album and is basically the tone of the album. For those who have not yet experianced any of the Naked Music releases.. Think; layed back, chilling with friends, driving thru cityscapes and countryside, drinking good wine...It's the perfect match to all of these. Personally I favour volume 3 in this range. Slightly less chilled, and not as disco as V.1
If you not sure about this album, try Carte Blanche V.1-3 They have a similar vibe, but with a slightly hippy edge.

The boys from Naked Music have released the perfect US house compliation that compliments the original release Nude Dimensions 1. Nude Dimensions 2 mixed by San Fransico's own Aviles combines his own individual taste as a DJ with the Naked Music catolouge of recent releases incorporating Blus Six's 'Pure' and Auquanote's 'Truelove'. Aviles begins with a chilled sunshine opener by Bougie Soliterre and finishes with arguably the best Naked Music release to date, the exquisite 'Always' produced by Lovetronic with the vocals of Lisa Shaw. With this release Naked Music are quickly creating thier own niche in the conjested current US house music market and look set to dominate for the next few years. All in all a great release and I look forward to hearing some new material in the spring.
