In Ripped, in order to protect her pride, Hayley accepts to attend her ex boyfriend and his finance (Cressida - her friend whom he cheated on her with) as a bridesmaid, and agreed to wear an ugly yellow dress bought by the bride. Well she got a lot more than she bargained for in the humiliation stakes when she literally burst out of her dress at the wedding, the side seams on the tube dress burst leaving her pride in tatters and her breast on display. Save for the quick actions of the bestman Nick Rossi, who hurried to put his 'Tom Ford' jacket over her and matched her out of the church to stop her giving a room full of lechers a heart attack, Hayley would have died of embarrassment. However she thought Nick did not like her but events in the little room in the church where he matched her to stay out of sight will prove the contrary., although a timely interruption stopped them from knowing for sure. Hayley is still confused over Nick's action, he has always rescued her at worse moments but why has he not called to get his jacket back? Well will they won't they is stretched out until christmas when Rosie decided to play Santa and give Hayley her most desired Christmas wish.
In Burned, Rosie is wearing of men following a broken heart five years earlier by Hunter Black. These day she dates men she never takes seriously but would like to have fun with them. On the day her current boyfriend Brian was dumping her because she was not vulnerable enough, does martial arts and is merely likely to defend him in a fight rather than he defend her, she turns in the middle of the conversation to spot the guy on the adjoining table was none other than her ex- Hunter Black. Can the evening get any worse, Rosie ran out of the restaurant as if she was being pursued by Hounds from Hell. or may be she was as memories of Hunter which she had shut down for five years came flooding back. For five years he was 'he that shall not be mentioned' between the two sisters. Out of panic she ran down an alley way on a dark night forgetting her own safety awareness instructions. A gang of four dunk men who followed her out of the same restaurant accosted her and although she got in the initial kick, to one of them, she was soon in need of being rescued. Hunter Black knew the minute Rosie ran out of the restaurant that it was because of him so he followed her and rescued her as expected. When he followed her home to make sure her bleeding head was taken care of , he got more than he baegained for when he met Hayley.Worse was to come when Rosie finds out that he is her new boss, with the chemistry between them creating a tense and charge atmosphere , what will happen now? will she stand up to Hunter without caving emotionally or will she leave the job she loves very much
The stories were very interesting.SM wrote this in first person Narrative and managed to capture the essence of the different personalities of the sisters. The banter and thought processes of Hayley will keep you entrenched until you finish the book. The books are funny and the banter classic Sara Morgan.
The h in Burned had nothing feminine about her and zero sex appeal, hard to believe any man would go for that...
