Im not happy. Its a real shame because the story had potential. The trust issues, cheating and the guy being horrible ruined it for me. I couldnt sympathise with the characters at all.
Also i found it strange the daughter hardly appeared. And Boyd didnt really seem too into his daughter considering he hadnt been there the first three months of her life. He just seemed totally selfish. This book gets an award for something though, yeah THE WORST BOOK BOYFRIEND EVER!
line and the characters. the characters chemistry worked really well throughout the book. the book was well written, I
was hooked by the first page and couldn't put it down. can't wait to start another one of jasmine lee's books, defiantly
one of my new top favourite authors.
First impressions weren't good, to start a book with cheating to a lot of readers thats an instant no no, they could of been seperated you know soften the blow a little even though kailees ex is a cheating ass himself. So not instant bonding with the characters.
Its a bumpy ride with these two and just when you start to like either character you dislike them again
It sure did play on my negative emotions so good plot if that was the intension from the author.
A good quick read dealing with trust issues on Kaylees part, one bitten twice shy.
Boyd being a model is surrounded by half naked models, this is how he first met Kaylee, real life temptations some men face but do they cave, did Boyd cave? you will have to read it.
Its a bit like Marmite you will either love it or hate it.

Wow, where can I start?? Ok I can safely say I wasn't sure how this story was going to go, I had a love/hate thing going on at the beginning as I'm not a fan of cheating but I have to admit I was curious... Yep, I kind of had a debate with myself and I ended up finishing the whole book... Which I was kind of surprise as I said before I wasn't sure, so glad I ignored that little thing. I actually did enjoy it. I don't do spoilers so you will have to see for yourself how this story goes :)
Its a story where either you love it or hate it.

WOW!! Very entertaining read! Many LOL throughout this story!!
Boyd Jefferson, model, meets Dixie Bell aka Kailee Belton, author, at a book signing. Kailee was asked to be a model and to shoot with Boyd. Kailee being married had reservations but did the shoot because she owed the author.
During the shoot, Kailee was tense. The photographer and the author told Boyd to get Kailee in position to finish the shoot. Sparks flew between Kailee and Boyd. The couple has dynamic chemistry.
One year later, Kailee is divorced and Boyd finds out he is a father. Boyd gives Kailee two choices "Marry me or give up full custody!"
See what she decided. See the emotional roller coaster that Boyd and Kailee's relationship take.

I was given three books by author Jasmine Lee. I enjoyed them all. This is the first book that I am going to write about. Nothing Ever Lasts was an interesting, raw, story with a fresh story line. I found it sexy, interesting, and very annoying. Well not the story. Just the main character.
The plot of this story is author Dixie Bell, Kailee Belton in her real life, ends up in a photo shoot with a male cover model named Boyd Jefferson as a favor to another author. Kailee is not comfortable with the intimate positions and Boyd gets her to relax in a very intimate way. Problem is Kailee is married. After the shoot is over, Boyd coldly dismisses her. “All in a day's work.” Fast forward a year. They meet up at a convention. The chemistry is still there. Kailee is divorced and she has a secret that will change Boyd’s life.
The chemistry in this story is hot, but Kailee is an annoying little self righteous twit. Sorry. Yes I can see where she is coming from, but… well Boyd is so in love with her. OK, yes I would have kicked him out, but the romantic in me says should just let it go. What am I going on about? You need to read the book to understand what my delema is.
The pacing is good, the story does skip a year, then weeks, and months. Let’s just say that the story covers a long time period.
The ending still has me confused. I reread it a few times to see if I missed a second divorce.
There is plenty of character development in this book, mostly in Boyd’s character.
Yes I liked this story, and I do recommend it.

I have mixed feelings about Nothing Ever Lasts.. its kind of a 50/50 book for me, I loved and hated it all at the same time :)
Nothing Ever Lasts is a story about a Romance author and a cover model
They meet and have one hell of a journey to finding happiness
Here are my thoughts.....
What I loved >>> The plot.. amazing idea, author and cover model = genius,,, its a refreshing change to your typical billionaire, rocker, biker romance we see a lot of
>>> I loved the characters and there individual/back stories and personalities
What I found I didn't like >>> The sex.. needs more detail / more steam
the sex was like 123, quick and like reading a shopping list kind of.. I felt it was just to plain & straight forward.. there needs to be more details and more emotion
>>> Nothing Ever Lasts has the potential to be a really great 5* book... but it just felt like it was lacking a lot, maybe it needed another edit or read through
>>> I would of also liked to have seen more of Boyd and Kailee interacting with Emmy... she seamed like she was just a piece of furniture that was mentioned now and again... We need more cute dad and baby moments, I mean who doesn't love a hot guy being all sweet with his daughter ??
Don't get me wrong, I know there are a lot of things I found wrong with this book, but I in no way disliked the book... all the things I have mentioned are just points that I personally thought would make this book a 5* read for me
I absolutely love Jasmine Lee, she is a really lovely talented author that has written some great books but this book needs just that bit extra
With all that said it was a great story with a brilliant plot and storyline that I devoured in one sitting
The story was gripping and I couldn't wait to see where the story would lead and how everything would end
Overall 3.5* Read
With a little work it has potential to be a really amazing 5*
WOW! I'm not even sure where to start. The character development is great, with a emotional, raw, original, and well written story line that flows well. Jasmine Lee had my attention from the beginning, and kept my heart racing cover to cover. I found myself angry on more that one occasion, as Kailee and Boyd are flawed people making real mistakes. The chemistry is fantastic, leading to some SIZZLIN sexy scenes. I would have given it 5 stars, but I feel like the ending was rushed, and left open, so I'm hoping the author will give me another glimpse into their lives. Overall, a great story that took me outside of my usual reading zone, and I HIGHLY recommend.
Fast forward to another year, Kailee and Boyd met again. Kailee, already divorced from her first husband, revealed that she had a child with Boyd, much to his delight. Boyd then demanded they be married or else, Kailee wont get full custody of their child.
What happened next involved a lot of fighting, cursing, cheating, making up and sex, sex, sex. You guess how it all ends.
I don’t know how to express my thoughts with this book. Well, I enjoyed reading it, but I was kind of irked with the cheating issues. Call me old-school or conservative, but topics about cheating married couples really pisses me off. I don’t know, I just don’t feel good about it. And married Kailee actually cheated not once but twice. And then there’s Boyd. He was okay, he really loved Kailee, so much that he acted like an @ssh0le all the time. I couldn’t stand them both, but I liked how their story went. I liked how they could get cheesy and called each other Buttercup and Damn Yankee. after their trysts. So far, it was good.
