Product description

Review

A book of poetry ought to be a sensory experience, not just in words but in texture, imagery and emotion. Sadia's poems are thought-provoking, sexy, subversive, haunting and exquisite but the emotions are heightened yet further by the erotic suggestiveness of the floral images, the precise delicacy of the font and the sensual texture of the paper and binding. To treat yourself to one poem before bed each evening is, like one square of irresistible chocolate, a delicious tease. This is the sort of gift you buy for someone, begin to read and then decide to keep, so buy two. --Neville Farmer

If you know anything about love you will love these exquisite poems. They rekindle our memories of loves that are lost and open our hearts to love yet to be experienced. Beautifully presented, a precious insight into an artist's heart and mind that leaves a tantalising question: Who was it? Recommended from the bottom of my heart! --Dr. Geoff Crook

About the Author

Sadia is an installation artist working across a wide variety of media, including sound, still and moving images. She is also an award-winning record producer and writer. Sadia began her career by becoming among the first women in the world to be signed to a major label as a record producer. Sadia's installation works include multiple elements of imagery and sound to create immersive environments, frequently incorporating manipulation or distortion of time. Her work forms part of international permanent collections and has been screened worldwide. Her first book, 'Notes To An Unknown Lover', a limited edition artist's monograph, forms the basis of her thirty-channel audio installation of the same title.
