'Excellent for groups. But also - and this is not the primary purpose of this book - it's the best introduction to C. S. Lewis for folks who've never read him that I've ever seen.

I've only not given it 5 stars because the layout on the page is not the most user friendly.
It's very much lowest common denominator stuff, an 'existential' approach rather at odds with Lewis' trademark matter-of-fact style. I hoped it would at least be a bit more child-friendly, with the Narnia connection, but it's pitched firmly at world-weary folk in middle and old age - not suitable for children at all. Whether older people will want to look to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe for their spiritual wisdom I don't know. I suppose as an excuse to get a few people together and give them a chance to talk about what ails them, it will do well enough; but it's a muddle.
The Amazon review, quoted from someone's blog, says "it's the best introduction to C. S. Lewis for folks who've never read him that I've ever seen". How are 'folks' who haven't read him competent to judge that? I beg to differ. If you have read any of Lewis' books you can probably produce something as good for yourself.
