This is a very practical guide to reducing stress and feeling more peaceful and calm. It offers lots of different approaches to reducing stress. The book covers many areas of life including work, relationships, home and creativity.
The best thing about the book is that the exercises are really fun and I actually looked forward to completing them.
This book did make me feel more calm and peaceful. It helped me get a lot of things in my life in perspective and I became clearer about the life I wanted to live. The book changed the way I think about things and actually transformed my life beyond what I was expecting.
The book does get a little convoluted at times. There is a huge amount of information but sometimes I got a bit lost in how it all fitted together. The structure of the book could be more focused.
The author is mainly quite practical, however, sometimes she slips into some more spiritual aspects of mindfulness that weren’t for me. But it was easy to skip these sections and there was so much useful information in the book that this wasn’t a major problem.
