Unable to download the paper. I had the kindle customer team involved, showed I had placed an order but the product was available to use. Needs to be sorted otu NE, you're losing customers.

I've read the echo for over 30 years, but since my local village shop closed, could only buy the paper occasionally - now I'm back to everyday.
it's easy to access and download and great for keeping up-to date with local news.

Unlike other newspapers (the Mail) which show each article as a separate kindle page - the Northern Echo shows a full page of news on each kindle page.

This is too small to read - therefore, each article has to be expanded and moved around the kindle page to read each article - making it very messy and time consuming to read.

Such a shame - it could be much better !!

I have tried this and it fails to work if you are out of internet range. I downloaded it at home in the hope of using it elsewhere but nothing so 1 star as I don't think I am allowed any less.

I love this newspaper, but it does have a couple of flaws on the Kindle Fire. I have informed the publisher, but no reply was forthcoming. The problem arises when you have a picture or article spread across two pages. It makes it extremely difficult to view. Otherwise my 3 star review would be a 5 star. If you like the Northern Echo, you'll like this. And, it's cheaper than the printed version and available immediately in the mornings.

Downloaded this so my husband could keep up with local news whilst on Holiday. Frankly it was a waste of space just kept freezing, verifying subscription and going off all the time.

Saves 75p a day at a good value of £4.99 a month. If you buy the paper daily it costs £20 a month which is expensive. Stick with the epaper much cheaper.
