HASH(0x8fa55ad4) out of 5 stars I'm Nuts........... About Squirrels! 27 Jan. 2004
By Christian J. Graham - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
In terms of books on squirrel field research I believe this to be one of the best in print. It is both a concise yet through volume. It is my personal opinion that a person will only appreciate the value of this book and it's research if they admire the animal itself and do not view it as a pest.
I am very fond of the squirrels that visit my bird feeder and windowsill. Thanks to this book I was better able to understand their world and lifecycle.

HASH(0x8f65a9e4) out of 5 stars About Methods 1 Oct. 2007
By Bradley Johnston - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The book is probably 80% about the process of studying squirrels and 20% about squirrels. If you are interested in how to conduct field studies okay if you want to learn about squirrels I'd look elsewhere.

HASH(0x8f9fa558) out of 5 stars North American Tree Squirrels 13 May 2007

This is a comprehensive, easy-to-navigate, and simply written book that reads with the ease that more scientifically oriented books don't have. Well worth it to purchase this if you are curious about squirrels of all kinds.

HASH(0x90b80ba0) out of 5 stars Nice Book 8 Jan. 2010
By Joseph P. Madigan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book made a wonderful gift for my grandma, a devout squirrel fan. She enjoyed watching and talking about them so much I thought I'd give her a book with some hard facts and information. The book is very interesting, thorough, and informative. The only problem is that it can be a bit too scientific at times for grandma. Just something to keep in mind when purchasing; the writers are scientists, and they deliver hard facts and data when they write. The book is not devoid of good writing, it can just be hard for some people to digest.

HASH(0x8fb58a08) out of 5 stars This score is based on what the book is, not what it is not! 21 Nov. 2013

Note that his book is not for casual fans of Squirrels. This is a scholarly work that is the product of years of research into Grey and Fox Squirrels. If you want to know detailed information of their lives (food, mating and society) this is an excellent book and should be read.
