Norman Selwyn studied politics and economics at Ruskin College Oxford, and Law at Manchester University, where he took his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. He is a former university lecturer, magistrate, chairman of the Social Appeal Tribunal, and immigration adjudicator. He has been lecturing and writing on Employment Law for over 45 years, and is the author of Selwyn's Law of Employment (Oxford University Press) and Law of Health and Safety at Work (Croner Publications). He also writes for the Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents. Now retired, he plays bridge and snooker, and updates his books each year.
