Product Description
Industrial hydraulic crimping tool
Designed for connection and end sealing of power wiring lines during the installation of power equipment and cabling, the Nordstrand Hydraulic Crimping Tool provides stable crimping with low resistance and high efficiency. It's suitable for use across most commercial and industrial scenarios, including in the communication, engineering, traffic, petroleum, chemical and electrical power industries.
High efficiency, labour saving device
A compact and portable crimper, this Nordstrand hydraulic tool and its 9 dies fit in a single carry case. The die sizes included are 4, 6, 8, 10, 16, 25, 35, 50 and 70mm. The Nordstrand Hydraulic Crimping Tool is a hexagonal crimper with an 8 ton maximum working pressure and a 10mm working stroke. It has a built-in speeding up hydraulic apparatus and easy ram retraction, with a pressure release valve on the handle. A head that rotates 180 degrees makes it ideal for narrow workspaces, and the vinyl-dipped grip is safe and comfortable to use.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 April 2020I bought this tool for terminating a bunch of heavy earth bonds on a facility I was helping to update.
Great value for money, does a decent job of making the crimp and is relatively easy to use (as with all of these hand operated tools three hands would be an advantage)
The blow moulded case seems strong enough to keep the crimp and its dies in tidy order and there's just about enough space for a few packets of crimp lugs.
The bright green colour of the case is an advantage too: when we were leaving site I spotted the edge of the box in the back of another contractors van and was able to retrieve it (no malice, just an over zealous Apprentice packing things away in order to make a swift exit from site)
Durability wise it's too early to tell, I don't often have to fit large lugs which is why I bought a lower cost tool in the first place, but so far I have no reason to think that this tool won't last a good few years.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 September 2018I used this tool to crimp alloy lugs onto a 25 sq mm copper battery cable. It far exceeded my expectations because I assumed the low cost would mean low quality. Not so. The tool was easy to use and made a really good and strong hexagonal crimp connection. I am very pleased with the results. Also fast delivery from the Supplier. Thank you.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 April 2020I needed this for an electrical mains up grade I was working on and I have to say it worked wonders for the money it cost.
The only major flaw with this product is that the jaws are just too big! You have to use the next size down for it to work properly ie you'll require a 35mm jaw to do a 50mm lug. If you use the 50mm jaw to do a 50mm lug it will just fall off!!!
If they sorted this out then I'd give it 5 stars. Apart from its worth having in your kit.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 October 2017Cool green moulded case, wide range of crimping sizes and, crucially, it actually works. For the money just working for a while will be good enough. I used it to crimp about 10 x 25mm ring crimps and it did the job very nicely. It took me a few minutes to work out how it goes together but it's really not hard. Great tool for any domestic spark who only has occasional need to crimp large diameter cables.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2016Fantastic for the money. As an electrician it does all I ask of it. Could charge 3 x the price and would still be good. 70mm is the max of the tool and would do 70mm with a bigger tool. It is great for working in a board as it is small. If it lasts a year or 3 then who cares at less than £35.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 June 2020Purchased this to make battery cables. Really easy to use and preforms well. Good quality for the price.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 May 2019for the price i cannot fault it yes it only goes to 70mm cable diameter but.... it auto returns when you release the pressure which is a nie feature, the cable is easy to get in and out due to its die design not tool free but its worth it if you've got a few cables to crimp i know it being a cheap tool that in the tool case there are spare seals if thats a sign or a trade off that i may have to replace the seals time to time for the price i can live with that
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 June 2017Does the job very efficiently, once you have changed to the right size crimping dies (which is a bit fiddly as you have to pump out the moving side to undo the grub screw). It had leaked a small amount of hydraulic fluid into the box when it arrived. It is excellent value for money if you are doing a few crimps a day and also it is more compact than the level types when working in a confined space.

FrancescaReviewed in Italy on 3 April 20205.0 out of 5 stars Forte e maneggevole

Naturalmente il prodotto è made in Cina. Se siete interessati all'acquisto portate attenzione al prezzo: lo stesso prodotto lo trovate quotato in modo molto differenziato.
