I had a second phone which I used for work (HTC smart phone) and was only using it for calls and texts on Vodafone One Net, very glad I have switched to this lovely little Nokia, so easy to carry around and great battery and usability.
Last photo was taken with the back side camera.
The big draw of this phone to me is the battery life, I can literally go a whole week without needing to charge it. People over 30 like me will remember a time before smartphones when the battery life of your phone wasn't something you had to constantly worry about, the beauty of the Nokia 216 is that on top of the great battery life you also get features we've all become accustomed to on our mobile devices such as Internet, radio, front and back cameras (with flash), MP3 player and a torch amongst others - it's even IPv6 water resistant.
The design of the phone is very nice; it has an old-school physical keyboard, a bright 2.4” screen which is small but still very usable and the phone feels comfortable in the hand. As you'd expect with something carrying the Nokia name, it's very well built, it feels like it could take a fair bit of punishment.
The call quality is top notch, it's crystal clear for me at both ends – better call quality than my regular smartphone.
The Opera web browser has easy access to many popular websites and it's easy to navigate to your bookmarks.Read more ›
Minus points - my only really minus point is the contacts list. I can only add one number per contact which is a bit of an innconvienience when I had contacts with landlines, mobile numbers, office numbers etc. Also I can not add emails or addresses. Hence only 4 stars.
This is the usual Nokia indestructable build quality, easy to use, intuitive interface, decent battery life and very good call quality (considering its not 3G). Bluetooth pairing is simple and causes very little battery drain (as it should), the camera isn't very good but then again you buy this phone for making calls and not taking photos, but at least you can snap some photos so when this outlives man the next dominant species can see how we liked to take photos of ourselves and our food.
If you don't need the features of a smart phone but do want a reliable device that doesn't need constant charging (take note Doro) then this Nokia is the one for you.
