This is a fantastic, educational book to introduce your little one to animals on the farm. The book is brightly illustrated and the board pages are very tough meaning they will withstand rough handling/drooling/sticky fingers. It reads;

It's early in the morning on the farm. The noisy cockerel says ... Cock-a-doodle-doo
... and wakes up the sheep. Baaaa, Baaaa
The noisy sheep wakes up the horse. The horse says ... Neeeighhhh
... and wakes up the cow. Mooooo
The noisy cow wakes up the donkey. The donkey says ... Eeee-or
... and wakes up the pig. Oink Oink
The noisy pig wakes up the dog. The dog says ... Woof, Woof
... and wakes up the cat. Meeeeeow
All the noisy animals have woken up the farmer, and he shouts ... "What a noisy farm!"

Each page has a picture of the animal who is woken up detailed on a thick tab, meaning it is very easy to navigate to a specific page. I find this fantastic for asking my son to find a animal visually. The 9 'buttons' on the side of the book are quite sensitive and my son can press them easily. The sounds themselves are very realistic, my son will happily sit and press the buttons and repeat the sound.

The story is simple to follow but very engaging. It is a firm favourite in our house, I would highly recommend.

I hope this review was helpful.

So glad I purchased this book for my son. He is just at that stage of learning about animals and as we regularly take a trip to my local farm this is really helping him make a connection between animals and the noises they make.
The book is colourful without being garish and the sounds are clear, understandable and acurate. The pictures of the various animals are obvious and not overdone too.
The story is simple, nice to read and perfect for a small child to know when to push the relevant buttons (although these can be a little stiff for small fingers, I hope with use it will become easier).
The book is a good size as larger than I thought it would be and fits across our laps together nicely. The pages are sturdy and easy for my son to turn and the tabs at the top help him do so. This holds his attention and he enjoys the book thoroughly from beginning to end, again and again!
Very good quality product, definatly worth every penny for the laughs and educational value this book brings. Highly recommended.

Book bought for grandaughter who loves books, even at 18 months. She points to the different animals and has mastered pressing the buttons to make the relevant noises. Would recommend this book to parents/carers of young children - it holds my grandaughter's attention and we find different birds, insects etc. each time we look at it.

A simply great book, big and bright, beautifully illustrated with an introduction of one animal on each new page - the buttons next to the pages reproduce the sounds that the animal makes, quite realistic but I would still prefer original animal sounds because I noticed that each language reproduces animal sounds quite differently (e.g. those sounds in English are different from sounds in French and Russian) so it can be a bit confusing for the baby. I gave this book 4 stars for that and two more reasons: 1. the buttons are not so easy to press - my 14-month old still has difficulty pressing them except for the last button imitating all the animal voices at once. 2. Beautiful and attractive as the book is, my baby is not as attracted to it as to her old and simple board books, especially the "Good night, moon" which remains her absolute favorite since, I would say, birth.

This book is best of the Noisy series from Usborne. It has little story line going on the pages, which is lovely and gives more sense to the reading ( unlike Noisy Zoo and Noisy Jungle). Beautiful illustrations, good sounds- buttons are a bit hard to press, but our baby managed to do it at 11 months old after few months of trying. Another nice touch is the last page button noise which sounds all the animals at the same time (gives that lovely animal farm feeling)- yet another thing missing on Zoo&Jungle

This is a lovely, well made book with fab illustrations and my baby (nearly 18 months) enjoys listening to the story. However, she's still finding it virtually impossible to press the buttons hard enough to make the animals sounds herself - you have to press them quite hard. We'd come across a similar book in a waiting room (!) which she loved and was easily operated which is why I bought this book. This point lets it down a bit as it causes her frustration, so sadly it's not one of her favourites.I probably wouldn't have bought it if we'd tried it in a shop but this is personal preference.

A lovely story to read to my 8 month old boy. He loves the noises and the pictures have so much detail we spend ages talking about each page. The buttons are a bit difficult for him to press by himself but that will come over time. Couldn't recommend this book enough.

Bought this for 8 month old who touches everything! He will love being able to make the sounds himself. Big bright colours and sturdy enough for the odd chew on the corners. Not too noisy as to being annoying.
