This was free on kindle unlimited when I downloaded it. Inside is 3 short stories and multiple previews for other books.
Considering how short these stories are I don't think you can expect masterpieces, there really isn't enough pages for anything amazing. However as a quick 5 minute read while I was busy it worked fine.

The first story is No Way Out. It's 8 pages long and is the story of 2 boys entering an old house on Halloween.
The second is The Price of Friendship and is 4 and a half pages. It's a very quick story of a stranger who trades the things you want in return for your memories.
The last short story is Hobgoblin Horror and is 11 pages. It's the story of 2 boys who listen to an old war veteran tell tales of his past.

75% of this book contains previews for other books, which I also read. These offer more substantial reading at the cost of not knowing the endings unless you buy them.

As well as the title story, there are two other horror stories in this ‘book’.

*No Way Out – During a trick-or-treat outing, Chris dares Mike to go inside a supposedly haunted house and wave from an upstairs window.
Neither of them are prepared for the outcome.

*The Price of Friendship – Nick and Joey meet someone who will trade memories for rare baseball cards or money.
Nick finds out the hard way that he is only worth the price of a new pair of basketball shoes.

*Hobgoblin Horror – Two boys volunteer to help at a retirement home.
They are assigned to war veteran Mr. Fitch, who has plenty of interesting war stories to tell – including about the Hobgoblin who he saw, and who still stalks him now.

A couple of nice stories. I enjoyed the one with the man in the old folks home, involving goblins. Good work.

Stories were ok, more creepy than scary and could have done with a few more!

I downloaded this onto my Ipad. Oh boy the stories. I am 29 not a big reader. Love books like Harry Potter but they are too long for me to read. These stories are great for all ages no matter what. And just nice.

It was alright for free. But maybe it would have been better if it was one really good story instead of lots of short mediocre ones.

There are three short stories in this collection, all written by MJA Ware.

The first is "No Way Out" about events in an old house at Halloween when two boys break in. Second is "The Price of Friendship" about a stranger who buys memories and the consequences for those involved. Finally there's "Hobgoblin Horror"; the story of what happens to two boys when they hear a terrifying tale from an old man in a retirement home.

All three stories are very well written, with humour and a light touch. Importantly, they all have good endings which will bring a smile to your face.

This collection is recommended for anyone who enjoys stories with a light fantasy/horror theme (nothing too heavy) and I look forward to reading more stories by this author.
