It's so good to have The Script back and this is another fine offering from the Irish trio. No Sound Without Silence is packed with tuneful melodies and great lyrics as we've come to expect but there are three noticeable differences - the rapping from 3 has gone, for the first time they have produced two very Irish sounding songs (Paint the Town Green and Hail Rain or Sunshine) and the album includes three slow tracks (a rarity as I'm Yours is their only previous slow number). Flares, Without Those Songs and Never Seen Anything "Quite Like You" are all beautiful, the last being my personal favourite - gorgeously romantic. Superheroes was a fantastic first single and they are certainly spoilt for choice for a follow-up. Possibly Man on a Wire is the next most commercial track.

My 11-year-old daughter sums up the progression of their albums as being reflective of the different stages of their lives - The Script is cool and hip, Science and Faith rocky and fresh, 3 rap-based (their "mid-life crisis" apparently which she loved!) and No Sound Without Silence slower and seeing them return to their Irish roots (a natural consequence of the ageing process?!). As a slightly older 30-something myself, I am glad to see this cycle of life represented in their music and can't wait to see them take No Sound Without Silence on tour. I'm just hoping they showcase more of their new songs this time - they are all great and deserve to be heard. Love you guys.

This is a reviewers nightmare. I loaned the other Script albums, and bought this latest offering from a local shop. I mean, seriously, 4 albums in, and not a single bad track on any of them! How could The Script do this to me. I have nothing to complain about here (lol) Even the mighty Quo; my absolute favourite band; have released songs that I don't like. This album, as well as the others, is faultless. Personal highlights are Flares, and Paint the Town Green, although, like I said every track is on the money.

Brilliant CD. Can`t recommend it enough.

The Script have really done themselves proud with this album and it's the closest they've come to their epic 'Science and Faith'. What is special about this one is that it's obvious how much thought has gone into each song - every lyric, every melody, every part of the musical structure has been carefully crafted into a work of art. Many of the songs deal with quite powerful themes - 'The Energy Never Dies' deals with the death of a loved one and the hope that we'll go on and meet again; 'Man on a wire' carries a clever analogy about vulnerability and the fear of someone seeing you fall; 'Flares' - inspired by someone pulling through a serious illness - is about finding hope in the most desperate of times. The more lighthearted songs on the album (e.g. 'Superheroes', 'Paint the Town Green' and 'Hail Rain or Sunshine') are ridiculously uplifting, feel-good songs, and even they have a deeper underlying meaning, paying homage the band's Irish roots and to the idea of overcoming adversity and being true to yourself. I was lucky enough to see The Script performing at three of their album launch gigs this past fortnight, and not only do these new songs stand out when played live, they also fit in perfectly with the band's earlier music. Ignore what the critics have said about this album, as it's a work of genius and the music journalists have totally missed the point.

The Script have been my favorite band ever since their debut album back in 2008, since then they have released epic albums one after the other without ever making a bad song. There aren't many bands with which I can positively say “I wouldn't skip a single song” but this is completely true for the script, they have never let me down and every song is a delight to listen to. This album is no exception, flowing with beautiful riffs and catchy choruses which will have you singing along and dancing around. Lead vocalist Danny O’Donoghue is probably one of the finest singers of my generation, combined with marks beautiful guitar work and glens rhythmical drumming and we have here one of the best bands to come out of Ireland and indeed one of the finest examples of modern music to date. Favorite songs on the album would have to be “No Good in Goodbye”, “energy never dies” and “Without those Songs”.

A throwback to the old days of "The Script" and "Science and Faith". Less rap, more substance and more meaning to each and every track. Although I felt #3 was good, it fell short of their usual standard for me, "No sound without silence" has restored my faith. Welcome back lads, can't wait for the tour!!!!

The Script have done it again - another 5 star album! Every single one of the tracks is outstanding in it's own right- no fillers here! The Script are masters of their craft and just keep getting better and better, meaningful lyrics, and catchy sing along choruses will make this a grest album for the boys to take on tour...I hope to get to hear these songs sung live very soon- awesome! :-)
