5.0 out of 5 stars Experience a book with the best of... 14 Feb. 2014
By B. A. Lumley - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Brian Lumley considers this the best book of his short stories. My personal favourites are, the title story "No Sharks in the Med" and "The Sun, the Sea, and the Silent Scream. Though this book was done in a limited edition by Subterranean Press, and they are now sold out ... there is now the e-version which of course you can buy right here. Cheers and happy reading ... 5.0 out of 5 stars More great Lumley 18 Jun. 2014
By William L. Davis - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Lumley's macabre, fantastic, adventurous horror tales make for some of the most addictive reading I've ever known. This collection selects some of his preferred tales disassociated from his Lovecraftian works. Lumley's love for vacationing in Greece is reflected in a couple tales which I thought made a great, exotic backdrop to his morbid visions. For good measure there's a foreboding sci-fi tale included. Some of the tales are more humorous; all in all it's a great mixed bag of different moods but it's all outstanding horror. I highly recommend Lumley to all lovers of strange, morbid fiction and promise his work is hard to put down.
