Unforgettable images and a rich vocabulary are the hallmarks of this hugely impressive poetry debut. No Limits is packed with so many lines memorable for their wit, depth, intelligence, emotion and flair!
Just some of my favorites include:
"I'm getting old too fast and getting smart too slow,"
"It is hard to be a flame when darkness rules,"
"I am sitting in traffic of my thoughts,"
"It is the lie that hurts - but the truth is always simple,"
"One side is always right, another's wrong but evil is in the tarnished middle."
And also this terrific passage:
"I wish I knew spell of the Torah
To keep the diminishing light
But you will betray me tomorrow
And I will betray you tonight."
As an established writer myself, I was honored to contribute to the introduction of this excellent e-book and believe author Victoria Silchenko is a clearly a rising poetic star who, interestingly, emerged not from the literary world but from the financial one.
Well, as Victoria writes in one of her entries, "I'm a fresh and complex Pino." She certainly is. So settle down with a fine glass of wine and enjoy this vintage poetry from a sparkling talent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looking for the highest values 27 July 2012
By Natalia Chebalina - Published on Amazon.com

I've just purchased this book and only read a few poems but feel compelled to post a review. I am in awe of Ms. Silchenko's ability to portray the deepest nuances of human emotions so eloquently and so uniquely. This is not a "beach read" to be flipped through. Every page made me reflect upon and reach somewhere in the murky depth of my own emotions. The poems are painfully honest, sad in that deep Russian brooding way reminding me of Achmatova and, yet, they call upon you to "rise above" your own selfishness and stop "presenting a normal side to those who don't care". There is more to life than our daily rat race and this book makes me want to "shift [myself] from the dust and preoccupied desire". I know I will be coming back to "No limits" searching for answers to questions I don't even know how to pose. What a gem of a book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific piece of work--great reading! 18 Mar. 2012
By Paul W. Thurman - Published on Amazon.com
The passion, energy, enthusiasm, and raw emotion with which Ms. Silchenko writes is astounding...and incredible given this is her first published work with little/no formal training. Wonderfully written, delightfully structured, and a pleasure to read, you may find yourself coming back to some of your favorites time and time again. Well worth it--download it and begin today. You may finish the entire piece before you know it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Brilliant 11 April 2012
By NAhdHac - Published on Amazon.com
The poems contained in this excellent collection have such skill, intelligence and feeling. My favorites were The Higher Love, To My Dearest Friend Who Is A Writer, Full Stop and If Einstein Could Talk Like a Poet. But all of them stayed with me after reading. Congratulations to writer Victoria Silchenko on a superb e-book.

5.0 out of 5 stars World weary but not cynical 17 Dec. 2012
By Charles Crumpley - Published on Amazon.com
I'm not a big poetry reader, but I started reading these and I couldn't stop. The pieces are sensitive without being sentimental. Lightly humorous yet wistful and a little sad. World weary without being cynical. Great. Just great.
