This is Menace, the new project from Mark Clayden and Jason Bowld previously both of the superb Pitchshifter (sadly on hiatus) is an interesting proposition to say the least. Mark on Bass and Jason on Drums and Guitar and 9 vocalists from all over the british rock scene (8 actually Casey Choas is american) with members of the SikTh, Amen, Carcass, Therapy?, Hundred Reasons, Earthtone9, Funeral for a Friend and Hiding Place contributing and if none of these bands interest you (which I doubt if your reading this) then I'd get it anyway. Is it any good? Definatly, all of the tracks are good in my opinion and although the music may lack a small amount of originality it is a lot more interesting to hear a different vocalist on every track than just 1 all the way through. Good stuff, all I want to know is how are they going to do this live?

Quite an ambitious album! VERY good!
I think i'll keep this short.
If like me, you love most of the bands that lend their talented vocalists to this album then you will LOVE this album! I'm on my 8th listen now. It's just sooo good.
Stand out tracks:
#3 Predisposed w/ Justin Hill (SikTh) - Amazing, if you hate SikTh listen to this. I guaruntee it will alter your opinion instantly.
#1 Deadman w/ Colin Doran (Hundred Reasons, Lucky 9)- Opening track is an absolute belter. Added bonus you get the video for this on this enhanced cd which is equally impressive.
#5 The Nameless w/ Paul McCallion - Very impressive vocalist the best song on the album! I thought i would like the songs with my favorite bands on more but this has opened my eyes!
#6 Onward Christian Soldiers w/ Jeff Walker (Carcass) - Nice vocal effect here this song is the heaviest on the album and works brilliantly and matches the vocalist perfectly.
#7 F8 w/ Andy Cairns (Therapy?) - I don't really like Therapy? that much but this song is brilliant probably second best song on the album.
This Is Menace have done a brilliant job of creating songs that suit each vocalist. Being a musician myself i can tell you that this is no walk in the park! Due to the nature of this album it is hard to label it with one label. IF you like any of the band's vocalists featuring on this album you will love this album!
If you dont know any of these bands (if you're looking at this page that is highly unlikely) then give it a try i guaruntee you will find something to like and it will introduce you to some new great bands.
The thing that surprised me the most is the bands i haven't really listened to much/liked much have the best songs on this album Therapy? and Hiding Place tracks are my favourites!

Just seen these guys play at music live. FLAMING AWESOME. Very heavy.
To clean up the thought of "how the heck can these guys do this live? do they have one bloke singing all the songs?" - they had each of the different vocalists there. They only did 5 of the songs. The singers from sikth (justin at least) and hundred reasons were there, but I can't remember who the other guys were.
Either way, would definately recommend this album. The only slight downer of a track is track 6. Otherwise, pretty flawless. Oh, other than BRING BACK PITCHSHIFTER!!!
