Intense look into the lives of 1% bikers & the lives they lead & the law enforcement undercover guys who try to bring them down. Harsh reality that both law & bikers are tight and brothers for life. Couldn't put this book down

Engaging book and a page turner. If you're into bikes and ever glorified the Hell's Angels then read this book.

I really liked this book because it truly portrays how there is good and bad in people. This makes you question your own ethics on what is right and what is wrong on both sides of the law.

This book does go in to detail about the motorcycle club and the investigation. not every part is thrilling but this is the truth of the investigation. You may not agree with every action that takes place but it is that, that makes you think. Which is why I like it so much.

The main disappointment, is that it sadly did not go in to detail of how the case was put together with the evidence attained. even so I would read it again.

All in all if you are interested in H.A or the tolls of undercover work it is for you.

Picked this book up at one of the truckstops I pass through...what a find!! Read a few books on the Outlaw Biker world but this one really has the edge. Could not put the book down as after each page, the book made you go on further. No overall glamorising of the HA or the ATF but a well balanced view of life on both sides of the fence from a long standing UC Veteran, politics on both sides, family struggles, it's all here. Jay Dobyns (Bird) comes to realise the strong bond that exists within the Outlaw Biker world and how things can look a whole lot different from the inside, both good and bad. 100% compelling read...you really need to get this!!

Absolutely excellent book, I picked it up at the airport on a business trip and opened it before the plane left the ground. I didn't even notice what films were on the plane, the book was far more compelling than anything else. I just kept wanting more. I finished it that night in the hotel. Really well written, with some heart-wrenching parts especially concerning his son Jack. Put aside prejudice and read it - it doesn't excessively glamourise either the world of the One Percenter or the Undercover Cop, it just tells it straight.
Now where can I find more stuff like this?

A very interesting read... not so much a discovery of the Hell's Angles. More a discovery of what it takes to work as a Under Cover. Jay starts to colour more and more outside the lines, to use a well known phrase "your body's writing checks it can't cash".. Couldn't put it down but completely anticipated and expected the way it ended.

Really good read. You develop your love and respect for the club along with Jay. Shame he was a cop. Still, great stories. Great characters. Interesting spin on the club. I finished it in a few days because I just didn't want to put it down.
