Recharge and power same, if not better, like SB900 (actually I think nissin is a bit stronger).
Multum of settings on color LCD panel (including strobo etc.) should please any semi-professional user like me :-)
And the price... very very good one (low!). Don't get fooled by 3pled price of SB900, this baby will do better job (and wont stop working on wedding or other important moments!).
I sold my SB900 and use my nissin 866 everywhere now it is possible (I got extra lens after exchange) :-) Using this flash; I advise to get goot batteries like eneloops, the power is really high.
If you consider this model or SB900 - just buy it (or buy SB900 to sell it soon back and get weaker SB700(if you are into big brands) or this lovely nissin flash).
Generally spoken I would recommend this product if you're not into "only buying big names".
batteries, and after taking about 100 pics and playing around ith the settings the batteries are not showing any signs of discharging, I think it will confortable handle a days wedding shoot, but will take the other set as a backup just in case. have only used it indoors at the moment, it is a must for indoor shots once you get the settings right, Overall a great bit of kit, and can highly recommend this to any budding photographer.
This is just as good, if not better than the sb900.
And it cost a fraction of the price.
I can highly recommend this flash.
I'm currently saving up for my second one.
If you want a professional flash without the high price tag then this is the flash for you
One reviewer has reported overheating problems, but despite heavy use, I've yet to experience any. This was something that used to give me endless problems with the SB-600 it replaced.
