Let me start off by saying that I tend to write reviews under the tag of the 'Middle-of-the-Road Gamer'. This basically means that I'm not exactly playing games on a daily basis (or in some cases maybe an hour a week) but I still hold a strong interest in it and always will do (I'm from the NES generation)

Okay so I've had the Switch since launch but I didn't want to write my review until I had time to spend with it, in particular away from home as that's its main feature.
The build quality is exceptional. The switch feels good in your hands, not too heavy but just enough weight there to feel really comfortable. Battery life is good but as with all portable devices it will depend on what you are playing on it. We sat and played Snipperclips and 1-2-Switch for a combined three hours and the battery had decreased around 8%. Breath of the Wild went on for thirty minutes and the battery decreased 30%.
Playing portable with the Joy-Cons detached is surprisingly easy to get used to, but the hand-held gamer will prefer them attached to the unit. The Switch will slide into the dock and will output to your TV almost instantly. I've had it for three weeks now and all in all, I am very happy with it. I also purchased an additional AC adapter for when it comes with me - this was essential for me as I wasn't keen on digging out the included adapter from my set-up each time I'm away.
The Joy-Con feel good. At first, I though they were a little small but you soon get used to them. There's been a lot of things floating around regarding desyncing issues with the left side (For which Nintendo have now issued a statement over) but I have experienced intermittent issues with the right side Joy-Con.

So here we are with Nintendo console number eight – The Switch. Heralded by Nintendo as the console that you can play anytime, anywhere and with anyone. Interestingly, rather than develop a console with the greatest and latest technical specifications, Nintendo have instead focused on providing a solution that merges the home and handheld markets. It’s a bold, innovative move and one, which many believe could be the last throw of the dice for the Japanese giant.

Upon opening the box, my initial impressions were that the console was smaller than I had expected, but once you attach the two Joy-Cons it is about the same size as the Nintendo Wii U’s tablet screen (see my photo for a size comparison). Regardless of the size, the quality of the materials feels very high-end. I particularly like the way the two Jon-Con’s clip into the Joy-Con holder to provide a very comfortable and ergonomic controller. (Again, see my photo for a comparison against the Wii U Pro Controller).

So, is the Switch any good? That’s very difficult to answer at this moment because I only have two games, which are Zelda - Breath of the Wild and Super Bomberman R. However, what I have played and experienced so far has been incredibly positive. I’ve played the games in the three playing modes, which are: TV Dock, Table Top (Joy-Cons detached) and Handheld (Joy-Cons attached). In all three modes of operation, I couldn’t detect any degradation in performance or speed. I was particularly impressed by the seamless transition from playing Handheld and Table Top mode into TV Dock mode.

The console’s menu system is minimalist and uncluttered, which I prefer and I found myself intuitively navigating the various options with no difficulties.

I got what I wanted. The switch is perfect for me because I don't own a TV since I'm a poor student, the Switch allows me to play home console games despite this fact. It could do with a few more games but they'll come with time. If you're not interested in Zelda I would recommend waiting a bit longer however there are some fun titles E-shop such as Fast RMX, Snipperclips and Snake Pass.

Wasn't going to do a review as there is alot on here, but can't seem to really read anything with anything usefull as to why or why not, they did or did not like the new nintendo switch.
There will properlly be spelling mistakes here so don't bother correcting me as I really don't care for people like that.
Anywho I will do a pro's and con's in my option as to why I thought it was a 4 star, not a 5 as there where a few little issuies I've seen for the past few pays I've been playing Zelda as I've had a few days off work.
Not sad enough to phone in sick for a computer games console as got a morgage to pay and that comes first.

The pro's (good points)

I brought the neon version of the console and it is really small and very smart looking, really doesn't take up alot of space whitch is good as I live in a 1 bedroom house.
The main part of the console, ie where you put the games in and see the screen fills really good in my hands and the graphics are amazing.
The internal memory is 25.7 GB and with Zelda via the cargiage only takes up 216 MB.
The controller that comes with it fills good in my hands also, looking at it you would think not so that was a pleasent surprise.
I like how steady it fills, while can be fiddle at times just do everything slow and hit the release button, everything has to be dead on other wise it won't work properlly, ie, the controller has to line up and clicks into place, if you rush and use alot of force it will properly break like some idiot did on youtube.
My console personally has no issuies on the left controller or doesn't die or anything that I can tell at this earlly stage.
In hand mode the battery life seems really good, played just under 2 hours and used up about 50% of it.
