Ordered this item as my daughter wanted a girls night in with her friends and they still love Wii. Item arrived very well packaged with all the items as described. I ordered extra remotes from a different buyer, as this item only came with one and we needed 4 all together. Unfortunately the remote that accompanied this item did not work, so thank goodness I had ordered extra. The upside of this is that I contacted the buyer this morning to advise if the broken remote and they emailed me back within a few hours to say that they were posting out another one at no cost to me. That’s the way to get repeat business!! Highly recommend this seller as these items are expensive, but their price as the lowest and the girls had a fab evening!!!!

I received the Wii console within the expected delivery date, and everything was as promised.. except the Wii remote which turned out to be faulty with a few buttons either lagging or not working. As you can imagine it made it difficult to play on, and had I not had a spare Wii remote control already, I would not have been able to play at all. The nunchuck worked fine, and all the other parts worked the the way it should but the faulty Wii remote ruined the enjoyment of playing the games. Order with Caution.

Fast delivery so that was great. But the advertising is completely different to what came. The Wii raging round attachment is nothing like what’s advertised. And there’s no Wii grey stand. Also the picture which is advertised with the Wii box, that didn’t come. Came in a brown box and all dumped inside. The Wii itself works fine with no scratches and the remotes came with batteries- which was a bonus. So feedback wise, just change how you have advertised this.

Had a go on this with my sisters over Christmas and decided I needed one for myself to get through the cold dark Winter nights. I bought the Black edition as alternative to white and with the built in motion plus.
Package arrived in good time and I couldn't wait to get it home and tryout the games. I'm loving them and the exercises (even though they show how unfit I've become over the years).
I went the whole hog and got the Wii-fit balance board at the same time - great deal on Amazon.
This is great fun whether for self or for family. I'm glad I got mine....

This is the original Wii (with GameCube compatibility unlike the new "family edition" Wii) in lovely shiny black with 1 motion-plus controller + nunchuck. You will need another motion-plus controller + nunchuck to fully enjoy the multiplayer modes (in some games you can share a single remote but it's much better even in these cases to have a remote for each player)
Wii Sports is ok, especially tennis and baseball, but Sports Resort is SUPERB and really makes use of the motion plus technology. Bowling is vastly improved for example, and Swordplay, Frisbee, Basketball, Table Tennis are really good fun, and easy enough for young kids (5 and above) to play against adults. You can learn how to do small movements so it doesn't get so tiring but it's much more fun to build up a sweat by wildly swinging the remotes around, just make sure the wrist strap is securely attached! The nunchuck games (like Cycling, Archery) weren't my favourites but others loved them. Similarly Air-Sports and Water-Sports, which feel a bit gimmicky, won't impress everyone
This is the best Wii starter package available, and this is how the Wii should have been launched - it looks great, the controllers are now superb and Wii Sports Resort is a vast improvement over the original Wii Sports.

First let me inform that the console in this bundle is the normal Wii (retro-compatible with Game Cube) and not the new one (2011 Family edition).
This bundle pack comes with the console (normal one) plus Wii motion plus controller with a nuchuck and a Wii wheel to attach to the controller and to be used with the Mario Kart Wii that came with the pack. All cables and required connectors are included (note that the video cable is a simple Av one).
This pack does not offer the standard Wii resort games, so this is oriented to Mario kart fans (like me lol).
Console came with the most recent firmware 3.4e (European)(October 2011).
If you are like me and dont really care much for the motion controlled games but still want to play some of the tittles available on the Wii, this is the perfect Pack for you. Plus is a normal version and you can use old GameCube controllers (meaning that can buy very cheap ones on Ebay) and play Gamecube games, that you can buy very cheap now a days. Since i'm a GameCube owner and i have a 4 controllers plus a lot of games is nice to be able to use them on the Wii.
Note of advice for HDTV owners: Buy a Component Cable to be able to use 480p image.

I am quite a Nintendo fan. But even I hesitated about getting the wii after hearing mixed things about the motion sensitive controller. At first, I thought my hesitation and reluctance were justified, since the first wi games were not great, the graphics weren't amazing compared to its rivals, the motion capture was flawed, etc.
As time as gone on, I did eventually decide to get a wii for several reasons. 1) Being a Nintendo fan, there were some great Nintendo only games on the wii (Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Xenoblades, etc). 2) I loved my gamecube and the wii could still play gamecube games. 3) The price was really cheap and is going getting cheaper now. 4) The main initial problems with the wii have been overcome (motion controls have been fine tuned/removed for some games, graphics still pale in comparison to rival consoles, but still make some games look beautiful, etc.)
The wii is a great family console, without any doubt. Anyone can find a game that they like on the wii and enjoy it. But more hardcore gamers may find the wii lacking in terms of mature games and challenges. Online play is also sometimes a pain to set up, whereas they are much easier on other consoles.
I overall enjoy my wii but if you are after a new console, have a think about what it is that you want to get out of it.
