This airfryer is just what my s.all family needs. It's not too bulky and so easy to use. I can make everything I need in a small space of time which is very efficient when you have a toddler running around. My food doesn't burn and it's easy to clean as it doesn't have so many parts. What a machine. The whole household is impressed. Quick and easy meals for one or side dishes for the whole family. We don’t have enough workspace for a bigger Ninja so this was perfect. Frozen chicken nuggets and fries for the kids in one sitting. My favourite is salmon fillets at 160°C for 6 minutes - so juicy. RECOMMEND a food thermometer to check before serving.

Bought for convenience and to replace a chip pan. The single/double portion size is sufficient for us and doesn’t use too much counter space. As with a microwave, I wouldn’t expect to cook a roast lunch in it.

I bought the Ninja because of its reputation for quality.

Ideal for giving our grandson after school chicken/ fish and chips with separately cooked vegetables.

“Air fryer” is a misnomer; it’s a miniature forced air oven. Two table spoonfuls of oil are needed to achieve golden coloured chips. The big advantage is that the appliance is quick and easy to clean and any oil used is fresh each time.

Most recipes benefit from removing the cooking tray and shaking it every 5 to 10 minutes. Cooking resumes seamlessly when the tray is reinserted.

Published recipes vary greatly so it’s a question of checking progress regularly and finding out what temperature and time settings work best. It’s less programmable than most microwaves and multi-cookers.

It is not a complete replacement for an oven and hob, and time saving is marginal in some cases, but relatively it is convenient, clean, healthy and economical.

I liked almost everything, I tried these products when they first appeared and ended up selling it, it was smaller but inconsistent and more trouble than what it benefitted.
This however I found in John Lewis along with a coffee machine. I spoke to the usual very informed and truthful sales assistant and assessed the size, convenience and price, it was on offer and so decided to buy, however no stock due to its popularity in reduction price, usage and savings in time and money, it’s fantastic I bought two collapsable silicon inners that save on washing up although you can put the food holder in dishwasher, the inners are great, safe and easy to store as you can have one always ready to go in machine, pre heat 2/3 mins take potatoes, squash, carrots, parsnips, and slice, chip, cube etc and addd seasoning of choice, even oil if required, same for meat chicken, lamb, pork etc and I usually microwave the afore mipentioned veg to just get them started, as apposed to boiling, in container, lid on drop of water 3 tea spoons max, and three mins on 1000 or adjust accordingly, then into dryfry and 180 to 190 5 to 7mins and then check adjust and same again, fish, salad, meat, pasta being prepared as this cooks and your done corn on cob, let your mind go wild or look up some recipes, but no heating the fan oven to then wait 30 mins or more and apart from Pizza I haven’t used oven since three months, that's just the tip, I can see Christmas beeping lots more fun, and flexible. Also much cheaper and healthier, less washing up. It’s a win win like microwave if you use correctly and remember they have moved on in the past thirty years, my new Panasonic MW has no turntable and so much larger capacity, I had to replace my 15 year old Panasonic as it started making a funny noise? Now I can literally get a chicken portion out of freezer and within 30 mins be sat down eating a lovely succulent meal with veg or accompanied veg, baked potato, or whatever and only a plate and inner silicone container and bowl to wash. I’m sat here now with nothing out of freezer and could be eating a lovely meal in 30 mins, instead I’m going to do a risotto as I got a homemade stock out of freezer yesterday and that’s in fridge, so it’s not that I can’t cook or that I don’t like good food, I do and I’m just pointing out those things like, having to go into town (this is like you have to eat) but you don’t have a car, so it’s plan to get to bus outperform train station etc, or cut a piece of wood, but you don’t have a saw, so what I’m saying is this and the other things I’ve mentioned just give you mother options and make it Quicker whilst saving money in the long run.
