I've not used a case on my previous phone (Samsung Note 3) for 2 years mainly because I couldn't find anything that felt slick and didn't feel like a case, i.e. some my phone was encased in.
When the OnePlus 3 case out I instantly wanted to protect it. I also use my phone daily in the car for navigation, podcasts and music but car cradles and, typically, awful. I know, I've tried many.
I decided it was time to try a magnetic base but was reluctant to stick a metal disc to the back of my shiny new phone.
This case solves both of the above issues:
1) it it slim, extremely well fitting around the phone and genuinely feels like part of the phone.
2) It has a steel plate built in to the back (not visible).
I only haven't given 5 stars because the case material would be perfect it were grippy but it isn't. It feels really nice but doesn't add a lot to being able to easily hold the phone, especially in one hand.
Aside from that it's an excellent case, very well made and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
