Before you pour your first snifter be aware that this is FIFTY ONE percent proof, which at the time of writing, isn't mentioned in the product description (but if you have a look at the reverse side product image you can see it). Most of us are used to whisky that's around 40% proof, and if you're thinking 'well, it's only 10% stronger', think again: it's actually 25% stronger..
If someone offers you a whisky and asks if you'd like a dash of water, you regard them more in sorrow than in anger before refusing, but I thought I'd HAVE to add water to this, 'cos it's gonna BURN, but no - it's strong, believe me, but it's certainly not the firewater it's ABV would suggest, it's actually really smooth without any need for the cop-out H2O and it's got a gloriously flowerlike aroma.
I love this and will definitely be buying again, but I'd advise that you pour yourself a slightly smaller one than usual.. 🍷
