And finally we get the story about the bride that's be causing a ruckus in Marietta, Nancy Parsons. Also it was great to be back with the Wilder siblings and their extended family.

Everyone except her is aware that she is marrying the wrong guy but she's too "blindly in love" to see Jared for the jerk that he is. Until her bridesmaids organize a "roughing it in the wild" bachelorette party. But things get complicated when Nancy's childhood friend and crush turns out to be the guide. Getting back to her roots and rehashing their complicated history with Wyatt leaves Nancy with the feeling that something is amiss. Then Jared crashes the bachelorette party and things start falling into perspective. What follows is quite nerve wracking and nail biting for a while but with Wyatt by her side to protect her as he always did we closed on a finale that is quite fitting for this series.

The wedding of Nancy Parsons is the glue that has kept the Montana Born Brides series held together. Each couple has had a part to play in the celebrity wedding of the year, and we've caught glimpses of the bride in the run up. So for her story to close what has been another great series from Tule Publishing, with the added factor that Kat Latham has written it, was a real treat. This series has hit all the right spots for me and Two Nights with His Bride ended the series on a high.

"Making a few bad decisions doesn't mean all our choices are doomed to fail."

Kat Latham has done what she does best and brought her reader a strong, emotive read with fabulous characters. Nancy and Wyatt's story is the one I have been waiting for; I was intrigued how their relationship would work bearing in mind Wyatt isn't the groom and it was a book I struggled to tear myself away from. It is a little heavier than the previous books, but the emotion is balanced by a romance which holds humour, is sensitive and perfectly paced.

"Buckle up, sweetheart. We're in for one hell of a ride."

Nancy and Wyatt have known each other for years and whilst Wyatt knows her past was not what people would expect the trust and respect he shows her was heartwarming. He was exactly what I was hoping for and once more a Kat Latham man has stolen a piece of my heart.

This series has brought many superb visits to Marietta and there are couples here that will no doubt feature and bring added value to future books from this imprint.

TWO NIGHTS WITH HIS BRIDE is the sixth installment in the Montana Brides series written by several authors including Kat Latham, focusing on the town of Marietta, Montana. This is soap opera star Nancy Parsons (aka Nancylynn Pruitt), and Wyatt Wilder’s storyline. There is a slight cross over with Kat’s ONE NIGHT WITH HER BACHELOR with the appearance of Molly Dekker and Wyatt’s half-brother Gabriel Morales . TWO NIGHTS WITH HIS BRIDE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although the Nancy’s storyline has been building throughout the series.

Told form alternating third person points of view (Wyatt and Nancy) TWO NIGHTS WITH HIS BRIDE focuses on a second chance for Wyatt and Nancy. Nancy is about to get married to one of Hollywood’s leading actor/ directors but no one is happy about the upcoming nuptials including Nancy, herself. Jared’s control over Nancy is abusive and exploitive, and her television career is tied to the man with whom she is about to marry. When Nancy’s bridesmaids book a bachelorette wilderness weekend, Nancy finds herself face to face with the man who broke her heart, years before.

Nancy and Wyatt grew up together. Nancy’s family worked on Wyatt’s family ranch, and in this Wyatt became Nancy’s protector and big brother but Nancy wanted something more. Wyatt’s rejection broke Nancy’s heart but she has never forgotten about the man, his family, or his ranch.

At the beginning of the storyline, the relationship between Wyatt and Nancy is tepid; there is a history between our couple that is slowly revealed throughout the novel. The $ex scenes are provocative and steamy, but limited to the final chapters of the book. Several of the previous storyline characters plays a secondary and supporting role (if only by way of mention).

2.5 - "Please help me stay positive here. I'm really struggling." Stars.

My low rating is purely for the characters in this book, and not for the authors writing etc. I have read and enjoyed Kat Latham's books previously, I suppose in a way it is a compliment to the skill of her writing that she managed to portray Jared and Nancy in such a light that I despised the former for the whole book, and despaired for the latter (and not in a good way) for the first 60%, that by the time things started to pick up the damage was already done.

"This isn't how I want my story to go."

I had a feeling Nancy would be a character I would struggle to like with in the glimpses we see of her and Jared through out the previous books in the series. The author managed to nail the particular trope of her and Jared's relationship parameters so well that I almost DNF'd when he decided to surprise her on her Bachelorette party. Wyatt was a glimmer of sweet, in all of the bitter but I just cannot get on-board with a woman knowing something is wrong, unhealthy and ultimately not in her best interests, and then justifying it with a load of weak, limp excuses. Again I reiterate the author wrote those characteristics perfectly, and they are just something that hit all of my personal dislikes when reading.

I wouldn't discourage anyone from picking up this book, the things that annoyed me are not necessarily big issues for anyone else. I would certainly encourage you too read the other books in the series as well, it has on the whole been an absolute joy. Sadly, this time, reaching this particular couple's happy ending just went a route that was not for me.
