Easy to make recipes, fascinating to watch the DVD and I also have the book. My mother was once a cook at a big house, and my grandmother was a cook by trade also. It has taken Ms Lawson to make me a cook after 40 years and Mother would be proud, just a pity she's not around to share it with me.
Her recipes are straightforward and uncompromising, delivered in a very forthright, flirtatious manner (recalling perhaps, a young Jane Grigson)
I tried her "pepper wrapped lamb in a chilli and garlic sauce" four days ago and my arse is still burning.
