I'm a simple Yorkshireman who enjoyed a great career, with roles such as Head Of Channel Management and Head Of Customer Loyalty for a multinational corporate, and got the opportunity to take early retirement at 50.
After 6 months in retirement I'd finished the list of jobs my wife had given me, so started to work with businesses helping them improve the customer experience and service. Why? well, I'd always been told that I was great at understanding the customer point of view, and I'm passionate about customer service - my wife dreads shopping with me!
After 5 years in contracting roles, I launched Simply Customer to focus on helping SMEs and large corporates deliver great customer service by mapping the journeys and making simple, small changes that make a big difference.
I now run workshops, speak at conferences and write books - just one small voice amongst many trying to spread the word that customer service can be the big differentiator for any size business and that keeping things simple is key!
