This is book two in the Heartbreaker series

Meet Jill Swanson. Jill has always loved Nico Bianchi since she was eighteen years old. How much heartbreak can one woman like Jill take before she’s utterly broken?
After a long and tough year and half Jill’s main focus right now is concentrating on raising her adorable infant daughter and trying to do the best that she can with the situation, she's facing. Suddenly when a call from Nico’s mother sends Jill and her young daughter to Perugia, Umbria. Jill’s then faced with the one man that had totally shattered her heart and also left Jill a changed woman.

Jill didn’t expect to still have feelings for Nico. Now Jill's main focus was being there for Nico's mom and letting Nico get to know his daughter.

Nico Bianchi spent ten years sabotaging his own happiness. Nico's done this out of fear that history would have found a way of repeating itself.

Now Nico's sober and healthier than ever. Nico’s ready and determined to fight for his family. But just when Nico’s finally gotten through to Jill about what had caused him to go off and drink his problems down the drain. Suddenly there are ghosts from the past that suddenly reappear and test his sobriety to the max. This then starts to threaten to ruin Nico's new life. Nico knows that if he sabotages things again, he will lose his family for good this time. Which means loosing the love of his live and his beautiful daughter forever.
Is it true what they say are soul-mates destined to be together?

Jill wants more than anything to believe that she and her infant daughter are finally going to get their happily ever after with Nico apart of their lives. Sadly now with Nico’s past coming back to haunt him.

After meeting Nico and Jill in the first book of the series, you get to read their story in this book.

Jill and Nico have a very interesting past and you can tell that neither of them have got over each other.
Nico's mum is ill so for the first time in over a year Jill sees Nico and meets his mum in Italy. There a few secrets that Nico hasn't told Jill and at first I was wondering what they were but I was not disappointed at all.

I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

having read Gabe the first book in the heartbreakers series , i was not disappointed at all. I loved this book from start to finish, i really loved the characters and there stories, but it was 1 that once i started to read i could not put down, so my housework got put on hold for the day. It is a book i would recommend to my friends and family but i would also say read the first story too, it gives you some idea of Nico and Jill and what to expect . All i can say is have some tissues ready and enjoy. I am also a great fan of the authors

Once again Evan has proven she knows what she is doing when she writes a novel! I didn't think I would like Nico and Jill as much as Jasmine and Gabe from the first book but I think I may have loved their story more. They go through so much and Evan uses flashbacks creatively to fill in the back story of how these two ended up where they were today in the story that, the reader isn't left scratching their heads and trying to figure out how it all came about!

Yes, you could read this book as a standalone but you would be missing out some bits and pieces that happened in the first story that always makes reading series like this in order for me a must. Nico's family are just exactly how you would expect a strong female based unit to be and the love they have for each other, their brother, Jill and the baby comes across in such an affectionate way that you can't help but make space in your heart for all of them. The ups and downs in this book are very much the way Nico and Jill's relationship is and by the end you are cheering for the happy ending that is written. It's also nice that although most of the book doesn't take place in St Louis, the characters that are 'home' are still very much part of the story as any true family and friends would be and this makes the reader feel like the narrative has just carried on from Gabe, book 1.

I really like how Evan always seems to finish her books some time in the future and gives us almost the characters 'endings' but with us being aware that their stories will continue throughout the other stories in the series. I am looking forward to Mila, book 3 and hope once again that Jordan isn't left out of his own HEA. I think Gaia is now also on my list!

I can't believe what an amazing writer Evan is! Each book sucks you in, making you feel each emotion the characters go through.
I hated Nico! He's the type of dude I hope for a double decker bus to hit.
I couldn't believe how many times Jill forgave the loser.
But meeting him again. Around his amazing family. How much he loved his daughter, his mum and two sisters...
How he knew how badly he had done by Jill.
God.
This sober dude was hot. I felt at times she shouldn't have forgiven him... like after he received the bad news.. I had Jill's bags packed aleady.
But it was an amazing read. Jill go her HEA.
I can't wait for Mila, so we can see how good Nico is still being!!!
