A three-disc edition of the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize nominated album features the original 14 song album, a ten-track companion CD with five unheard songs, two remixes (including one by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy) and a DVD featuring four videos from The Next Day.
Please be advised that in the lyric book the lyrics overlap to the next page and one of the books "you" is blank. This is this is actually part of the design and not a defect.

Really listen to all of the tracks as you will discover snippets of other Bowie songs hidden in the detail of the mix,so very clever and cunning, pure genius.
Now the extras and indeed the box it self is simply stunning,a little frustrating with the lyrics split mid sentence across pages but that was added to mess with your head. The you book appears to be blank but I bet it's more than just as message to state you can fill in your pages such is your life,I bet there is a hidden secret and you have to use an ultra violet light or lemon juice to reveal the message.
Overall this is my best Purchase for a long time and can't stop playing both CD,s.......play it loads and loud and rock to you explode...Thank you DB.
Where Are We Now is NOT representative of the album as a whole: The Next Day album is Davey back on top with fabulous songwriting to rival his seventies classics and interesting/energetic arrangements to kill for.
As for the bonus CD, I love it. Does feel a little 'out-takey' - which it is, I guess - but there are at least two tracks (Born In A UFO, I'll Take You There) that could have been included on the original release and worked well. The two remixes are interesting and enjoyable but don't eclipse the originals in my opinion, and the remaining ones are all excellent in terms of songwriting, performance and production.
The DVD of four music videos, despite being 'Made in EU' is NTSC format (rather than PAL which is the UK video format). This might explain the substantially reduced sound quality when playing on a new but inexpensive Panasonic blu ray player, HDMI-ed to TV with optical audio connection from TV to amp. Disappointing, but the videos were not the reason I bought this set so no stars dropped.
If you love classic Bowie this is a real treat. And I paid less than six quid! Bargain of the year so far...
