Product Description

Review

It is always a privilege to watch the birth of a cult, and Hodder has just cut the umbilical cord ... There are shades of Douglas Adams, Lewis Carroll, CLOCKWORK ORANGE and 1984. And that's just for starters (Time Out, on THE EYRE AFFAIR)

[Fforde's] brand of inspired lunacy truly stands on its own ... this new book completes his creation of a world of true literary comic genius (Sunday Express on THE WELL OF LOST PLOTS)

The reader is catapulted in and out of truth and imagination on a hectic, humorous and neatly constructed chase that finishes by tying up every loose end in the most satisfying, novelistic way. (The Times)

A born wordsmith of effervescent imagination (Christina Hardyment, Independent )

An immensely enjoyable, almost compulsive experience (New York Times on LOST IN A GOOD BOOK)

on LOST IN A GOOD BOOK 'Jasper Fforde has gone where no other fictioneer has gone before. Millions of readers now follow...Thank you, Jasper' (John Sutherland, Guardian)

'Don't ask, just read it. Fforde is a true original' - Sunday Express '[Fforde's ] brand of inspired lunacy truly stands in its own...this new book completes his creation of a world of true literary comic genius' (Sunday Express on THE WELL OF LOST PLOTS)

'Fforde's imagination is a literary volcano in full spate' (Independent on SOMETHING ROTTEN)

If you are new to the Thursday Next series then I have one question for you: what are you waiting for? The other reviewers will be able to articulate and express how good these books are. My advice is to start with the Eyre affair (the first book) and continue thereafter. I have read these books over and over and they always make me laugh out loud.

These books are absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!! Love them to pieces, Jasper Fforde is a total genius. Really bizarre concept, but so well written, and completely rounded (love the adverts at the end for Goliath etc, really completes the whole picture). I can't get enough of them. Fie stars does not do them justice.
