Havent used the camera as I did not buy this drone for pictures.
Imagine driving a really fast Go-Kart before going onto a F3 car then this is what to expect, which is a good thing.
If you are looking for a first quad this is a great choice, it flies well and is very easy and stable, prefect for kids, if you don't want to spend a lot and want something that won't break in the first few days, you can fly it indoors if you have a large room, but it's not ideal, with the control on rate 1 its supper slow great for learning but not great if there is more than a slight breeze, press the button for rate 2 and things are much better but again, this thing is so light that it will get blown around a bit, so if you go up above your fence hieght early on, be prepared to go knocking on neighbours doors to get it back if you are flying in a small backyard.
Overall a great first choice just to play around with to see if flying quads is something you want to get into or not, parts are cheap and readily available on Amazon if you do break anything, but like I said I have crashed lots and lots of times and so far hot clue and tape are all the spares I have needed, the only thing you will need are extra batteries, I got 4 x 700mah ones with a charger that work well, with the camera removed it flies for about 10-12 minutes or so, less if you are giving it lots of juice.
I can agree wholeheartedly with this, as with a little practice you can have a lot of fun with this.
Theres also some room for learning the ropes with modding / repairs with cheap and easy to buy spare parts.
The only issue I have had personally, was the pins that the camera connects to are a little easy to bend / snap.
I have already replaced a motor after burning one out, and if you plan to do this yourself then be aware you will need a soldering iron.
Don't let that put you off attempting a fix like that though, as in the long run you will get more out of it!
Flies very high!
Can take quite a beating usually.
Aerial acrobatics indoors not recommended!
Don't forget to use the controller to tweak hovering for ease of use.
This is the updated version as previous people had asked.
Previously I owned the Q7 FY326 (which Amazon also sell) an the X5C-1 fly's more gentle compared to the cheaper knock off version.
Camera is so so but not bad overall on a bright day.
The yaw and turns can be controlled nice and gently (compared to the FY326) so tracking shots with the camera can be smooth without jerking manoeuvres.
Don't bother with the 'Atdoshop New 4PC 3 Blade Propeller' as they are no real benefit to flying and make the battery life even less.
Do buy more than one battery and if you can try getting an 850mah battery for over 7 minutes flying time (including camera use).
Remember to fly in high mode if flying outside as this quadcopter is susceptible to winds and can easily be taken away by winds landing a lot further away than you would think.
